這本小說是和Saphanie寒假球賽綁一起當天讀完，聽音檔當複習。Saphanie對於這本書中錯綜複雜的生活與心理感到懵懂，幾天後在讀書會的表現尚能互動與應答，但這本書對Saphanie的感想普通，主因還是和她這年紀的幼稚心靈還無法深思有關。
這本書和之前『閱/學‧4 - A wrinkle in time』有關聯，而這兩本書媽媽我有找時間看完(中文版)，閱讀時我會用我的想像力來感受，想像和電影語言差不多的畫面和意境，這種用生活來刻畫角色性格的細膩，35歲的我看懂了，10歲的Saphanie還沒看懂。
