英國衛報報導：美國、英國、澳洲打造軍事同盟（AUKUS）以對抗中國！

雖然三國領袖在籌組AUKUS時沒有指出中國，然而毫無疑問的，這個軍事同盟是針對中國在南海的擴張，以及中國對台灣升高的軍事威脅。

The US, UK and Australia are setting up a trilateral security partnership aimed at confronting China, which will include helping Australia to build nuclear-powered submarines. Aukus partnership will enable Australia to have nuclear-powered submarines for the first time.

None of the three leaders mentioned China, but there was no doubt that the initiative was a response to China’s expansionist drive in the South China Sea and increasing belligerence towards Taiwan.

外交部吳部長表示，發展 #潔淨再生能源 是因應全球氣候的關鍵，政府全力將台灣打造為 #亞太區域綠能中心，同時準備好與世界共同發展綠能，並以友邦 #聖克里斯多福及尼維斯 與 #馬紹爾群島 的再生能源計畫為例，展現「台灣能幫忙，且台灣正在幫忙」的精神👍

其他三國代表均預錄開幕致詞影片，來自泰國、日本、越南及歐洲各國總計50國約120名官員及專家線上參與，各國熱烈分享 #能源轉型 經驗及 #綠能產業 發展。

As #COP26 quickly approaches, it’s time for all countries to reflect on their #CarbonGoals and #RenewableEnergy policies. What better time then for #Taiwan, the #US, #Japan and #Australia to host a Global Cooperation and Training Framework conference on #GreenEnergy?

As part of efforts to #TackleClimateChange, the conference gave an overview of the global development of the green energy industry, and countries shared their experiences of energy transition.

120 experts and officials from 50 countries, including the US, Japan, #Thailand, #SouthKorea and several European countries took part in the online conference.

In his opening address, MOFA Minister Joseph Wu stated that clean and renewable energy sources are the key to fighting the #ClimateCrisis and that Taiwan is keen to become a green energy hub for the #AsiaPacific region. He added that Taiwan is also working with others in #PartnershipForTheGoals, citing renewable energy projects launched with allies #StKittsAndNevis and the #MarshallIslands.

【丞相，真的起風了】

#七大工業國集團 (G7)領袖峰會聯合公報 #首度納入重視台海和平與穩定，外交部誠摯感謝。

這陣挺台的風，從4月的美日元首峰會開始吹起，延續到5月美韓元首峰會、歐日領袖峰會、G7外長會議，接著到6月的日澳2+2會談，都在傳達一個意念：

『維持台海和平與穩定，已取得世界主要民主國家元首及領導階層的高度共識』

6/13日G7領袖峰會後的聯合公報，是G7前身G6自1975年成立以來，46年來首度在峰會聯合公報中納入友台文字。各國對台海和平的重視，代表台海和平與穩定是打造「自由與開放的印太地區」不可或缺的關鍵一環。

我國作爲印太地區負責任的一員，將持續與理念相近國家攜手合作，在 #完善印太地區高品質基礎建設 及 #強化全球供應鏈韌性 等方面加強合作，維護印太地區的和平、穩定、繁榮及永續發展。

MOFA is grateful that peace and stability in the #TaiwanStrait featured in the #G7 Leaders' Summit Communiqué for the first time!

The summit drew to a close in Cornwall in the #UK on June 13, after which the communiqué was issued. It emphasized the importance of peace and stability in the Strait and called for a peaceful resolution to cross-Strait issues. In the 46 years that the framework has been in place (formerly as the G6), this is the first time Taiwan-friendly language has been featured in such a communiqué.

This adds momentum to growing concern for the region expressed at the US-Japan leaders' summit in April, the US-South Korea leaders' summit in May, the G7 Foreign Ministers' Summit and the Japan-Australia Foreign and Defense Ministerial in June. As a stakeholder in the Indo-Pacific region, Taiwan will continue to work with like-minded countries to ensure peace, stability and prosperity in the region.

Bringing a breath of fresh air to the Japanese Ukulele scene, Ryo Natoyama not only is an amazing Ukulele player but he also handcrafts all of his Ukuleles.  Born in 1993, he started playing the Ukulele after his family bought him one when they went to Hawaii during his 6th grade summer vacation. By the time he was in middle school, he crafted his own Ukulele. When he was 14, he became an opening act for Bruce Shimabukuro, Jody Kamisato, and other Hawaiian artists and appeared on television broadcasts. He also appeared on Jake Shimabukuro’s Japan Tour and in 2015, he released his 4th album called, “UKULELE SPLASH” and also a Christmas album called, “UKULELE Merry Christmas!”. Both albums were nominated for the 39th Na Hoku Hanohano Awards (Hawaii’s equivalent to the Grammy Awards) and he became the youngest Japanese artist to win with “UKULELE SPLASH”. He made his major label debut with “Made in Japan, To the World.” In July 2016. He has continued to be active in the music scene and has also performed in The United States, England, Italy, Australia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, China, and Canada.
