Whenever I’m doing a song, I try to add as much of the artist into the song as I can. So for a lot of songs, if I feel I need more of the artist’s spirit in the song, I’ll ask them to sing a ton of backing vocals. All my usual harmonies, and sometimes even sing vocal pads. Basically ask them to sing the 3 part chord progression of the song.

When you listen to the song, you can’t hear it all. But I promise it makes a huge difference. So Bad feels like OSN now. The more OSN tracks that I hide inside, the better the song feels.

Of course every song is different, and maybe one day we’ll do a song that only has 1 track... But for So Bad, this is how we got that sound and feel.
