As much as my life mantra is all about ‘doing-whatever-you-want’ - I’m not afraid to say I learnt some of my habits through tracking 🙌⠀⠀

I learnt how to eat according to my own body (rather than some other internet person's) through tracking my calories for a period of time.⠀⠀

And I learnt how to increase my activity OUTSIDE the gym through tracking my steps - and seeing how spectacularly sedentary I can be despite working out 6 days a week.⠀⠀

For me data tracking isn’t about setting arbitrary (and often unrealistic) targets to hit consistently each day - and subsequently feeling like a terrible human when you don’t hit it. That’s not how I use my @fitbitsg Versa. I use it to simply to gain a better understanding of how I’m living my life.⠀⠀

I love that I can see my activity for the day, and see how no 2 days are identical. (And how natural it is to have fluctuations across the days, weeks and months.)
I love that I can follow workouts literally on my wrist. And feel like the most technologically savvy person in the gym.
I love that I can track my periods on it without relying on some weird app with pink butterflies on the logo.⠀⠀

I use it to empower me, not roll it's imaginary eyes fitness tracker eyes and judge me 🙃⠀⠀

I wear my smartwatch every single day! That's because I want to be able to track not just my workouts, but also my health all day long. The fact is, when we're able to gather more data and knowledge about our own body and how we are performing in each workout session, that will give you the motivation and discipline to stay consistent. This has really to stay on track all these years and see results.
