My God is So Big and Mighty
“At the end of twelve months he was walking in the royal palace of Babylon. The king spoke and said, Is not this great Babylon, which I have built for the royal dwelling place, by the might of my power and for the glory of my majesty? While the word was in the king’s mouth, a voice came from the sky, saying, “O king Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is spoken: The kingdom has departed from you. You shall be driven from men; and your dwelling shall be with the animals of the field. You shall be made to eat grass as oxen. Seven times shall pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever he will.” This was fulfilled the same hour on Nebuchadnezzar. He was driven from men, and ate grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of the sky, until his hair had grown like eagles’ feathers, and his nails like birds’ claws.” (Daniel 4:29-33 WEB)
It is extremely sobering to think that this God that has a personal relationship with every believer, “rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever he will.”
God deals with major things like the rise and fall of kingdoms. He speaks to kings and yet He is also taking care of our lives, making sure that we have whatever we need.
““Aren’t two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father’s will, but the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.” (Matthew 10:29-31 WEB)
Not even a cheap sparrow falls to the ground without Abba God noticing. He even knows the exact number of hairs on your head.
The one who sets up kings in the world also takes care of the birds, the flowers, the bees, and me. Wow! God’s power is so vast and His love for His creation is so deep and personal. The one who rules Heaven and earth is a good God.
“Behold, the nations are like a drop in a bucket, and are regarded as a speck of dust on a balance. Behold, he lifts up the islands like a very little thing. Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor its animals sufficient for a burnt offering. All the nations are like nothing before him. They are regarded by him as less than nothing, and vanity. To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare to him?” (Isaiah 40:15-18 WEB)
Abba God must be huge because in comparison to Him, the nations put together are just like a drop of water in a bucket.
Have you held a water droplet before and pondered how tiny it is?
It is amazing that someone so big and mighty is so gentle. He lifts up the microscopic-sized islands without destroying them.
If the nations together are like a speck of dust, imagine handling one island—it must be like the size of the smallest microorganism.
To a God like that, whatever you offer Him is intrinsically worthless. It is too tiny and useless to Him, but He does not despise what you give to Him sincerely.
“Yahweh appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre, as he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day. He lifted up his eyes and looked, and saw that three men stood opposite him. When he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself to the earth, and said, “My lord, if now I have found favor in your sight, please don’t go away from your servant. Now let a little water be fetched, wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree. I will get a morsel of bread so you can refresh your heart. After that you may go your way, now that you have come to your servant.” They said, “Very well, do as you have said.”” (Genesis 18:1-5 WEB)
When God took the form of a man and appeared to Abraham, Abraham was pleasantly surprised. He offered bread with water and the Lord accepted the humble offerings.
This huge, powerful God who promotes kings and sets up kingdoms, will not despise your heartfelt worship and acts of faith. Whatever you give to Him, He loves it even though they are intrinsically useless to Him.
Whatever challenge you may be facing now is insignificantly tiny as compared to your God. Have faith—you are much more value than many sparrows!
If you encounter days whereby the enemy’s attacks seem so huge and insurmountable, getting a right perspective from God’s word can change that. In “Messiah’s Miracles: The Power of Having Faith in Jesus Christ”, you will see God’s power and His heart of love, grace, and mercy towards you. Breakthroughs and miracles will happen when you have faith: https://bit.ly/messiahs-miracles

=================================
--------------------------------------------------
1) I thought it would rain.
例えば、「I thought it would rain so I brought an umbrella.(雨が降ると思っていたので、傘を持ってきました)」や「Since I was a kid, I knew I would become a teacher.(私は子供の時から先生になると分かっていました)」のように表現できます。
例えば、「He said he would buy coffee for us.(彼は私たちにコーヒーを買うと言っていました。)」や「She said she would talk to him about that issue.(その問題について、彼女は彼に話すと言っていました)」という具合に使われます。
<例文>
When I met my wife 5 years ago, I knew I would marry her one day.
I never thought this proposal would go through.
She said she would come to the party.
--------------------------------------------------
2) She would not help me.
例えば、「今朝、車のエンジンがかかりませんでした」は「My car would not start this morning.」
「My parents would send me money」と言うと「両親が仕送りをしてくれた」とはならずに、「両親が(何度も)送金した」を意味する。
<例文>
I asked him many times but he would not tell me what happened.
My girlfriend is really upset with me. She would not talk to me.
I charged my phone but it would not turn on.
--------------------------------------------------
3) In the summer, I would go camping with my friends.
それに対し、「私は高校生の頃、毎日サッカーの練習をしていました」と言いたいのであれば、used toを使って、「I used to practice soccer every day in high school.」
例えば「過去にオートバイを持っていました」は「I used to have a motorocycle.」と言い、「I would have a motorcycle」とは言わない。
<例文>
When I lived in Japan, I would go out drinking almost every week.
Sometimes she would come over and cook Mexican food for us.
During the winter, I would get together with my friends and do a nabe party.
--------------------------------------------------
1) If I won the lottery I would buy a house.
例えば、「世界中のどこにでも住めるとしたら、ハワイに住みます」は「If I could live anywhere in the world, I would live in Hawaii.」
✔文末に「if I knew」に付け足してもOK。
<例文>
If you could date a celebrity, who would it be?
I would tell you where she was if I knew.
If I found a hundred dollars on the ground, I would take it to the police station.
--------------------------------------------------
2) Would you try online dating?
と尋ねるなら「What would you recommend?」となります。
<例文>
Would you date someone older than you?
What would you do? Would you apologize?
Would you be open to living abroad?
--------------------------------------------------
3) If I were you I would apologize.
✔日常会話では「If I were you」を省いて、「I would _____」と直接言うことも一般的。
✔「If I were in your shoes, I would ______.(私があなたの立場だったら、〜をします」という言い方もある。
<例文>
If I were you I wouldn't go.
This milk expired 5 days ago. I wouldn't drink that if I were you.
I would call them and ask for a refund.
--------------------------------------------------
1) Would you turn down the volume?
と丁寧に言いたいなら「Would you fill out this form?」
<例文>
Would you close that window?
Would you be able to help?
Would you mind changing seats?
--------------------------------------------------
2) Would you like a drink?
と聞く場合は「Would you like some hot tea?」
親しい関係であれば「Do you want _____?」でOK。
<例文>
Would you like a refill?
Would you like to join us?
Would you like me to drive?
--------------------------------------------------
3) I would say _____.
✔日常会話では「I would say」を「I’d say」と省略して言うことが多い。
✔大抵の場合、「I think」の代わりに「I’d say」が使える。
<例文>
I'd say it's a four to five hour drive.
I'd say this logo looks the best. I like the color and simplicity.
Both speeches were excellent but I would have to say Adam's speech was better.
--------------------------------------------------
1) I would love to go.
--------------------------------------------------
「I would love to」は「I want to」と似た意味で「〜を(が)したい」といった強い願望を伝える時に使われれます。 例えば、同僚に食事を一緒にしないかと誘われた際、「I would love to join you guys for dinner.」
<例文>
I would love to meet with you next week.
I'd love to! What time should I be there?
I'd love to stay and chat some more but I have to get going.
--------------------------------------------------
2) I would like to think that ____.
という質問に対し「I would like to think I’m a good father.」
✔日常会話では「I would」を「I'd」と短縮して言うことが多い。
✔「そうだと思いたい」は「I would like to think so.」
<例文>
I would like to think that hard work pays off.
I would like to think professional athletes don't use drugs.
I would like to think my English is getting better.

LYRICS
[VERSE 1]
Challenges are ahead
Shake them off! Look at the breaking dawn
Don’t let them hold you down
Come with me to get some inner peace
Everyday comes with hardship
You’re still handling all the ups and downs
But keep smiling girl
‘Cause the world is there for you when tomorrow comes
And
[CHORUS]
Mellow out and chill for tonight
Melt into the flow of the night
Turn your worries off ‘til sunrise
Peace matters more than what is right
[VERSE 2]
You don’t have to be worried
Leave it all behind and live your life
It is a happy journey
Sometimes you just need to free your mind
They might be making you smile,
making you high and make you cry sometimes
But just love yourself
‘Cause there are open doors waiting and it’s your call
So
[CHORUS]
Mellow out and chill for tonight
Melt into the flow of the night
Turn your worries off ‘til sunrise
Peace matters more than what is right
Yeah…
[RAP]
They run away from the black clouds
You choose to face every dark hour
Things go wrong and they get freaked out
You say that it’s your shot and you will find out
So when the sun comes, the lights will shine bright
And the heat all around us will spread a new vibe
All the love songs pave the way for joy and delight
All gazes that we might have missed for whole life
And we gon’ hear, the sounds around us
They are all near, let's feel the happiness
Moments will appear, life’s miraculous
Finding our new selves make it more adventurous
Chill just like we chill with Chillies, chill like Linh’s clinking
Chilli’s hot but we don’t need to be because it is boring
So we
[CHORUS]
Mellow out and chill for tonight
Let the love keep flowing hand to hand
Melt into the flow of the night
Let the laughters fill the space again
Turn your worries off ‘til sunrise
(It’s gonna be alright)
Peace matters more than what is right
(Let’s chill everybody!)
Mellow out and chill for tonight
(It’s gonna be alright)
(It’s gonna be alright)
Melt into the flow of the night
(It’s gonna be alright)
Turn your worries off ‘til sunrise
Peace matters more than what is right

come and get your love 1 hour 在 Spice N' Pans Youtube 的精選貼文
Mee Hoon Kway (面粉粿) or Banmian (板麵) is a popular noodle dish in Singapore. You can almost get them from any of our local coffeeshops and food courts. The dish is made up of handmade noodles served in simple light broth, usually with some vegetables, minced meat and topped with a half-cooked egg.
Most Singaporean Chinese (especially ladies) love a bowl of piping hot Mee hoon kueh or Ban Mian (handmade noodles). There are a few key components to making this dish worth queuing for at our local food court. The most important one has to be the soup base then comes the texture of the noodles, the minced meat in the soup as well as the accompanying chilli dip. Yum yum yum! I’m salivating at the thought of writing this (haha!).
From what I understand, the name Ban Mian came from the Hakka Chinese' method of cutting the noodles into strands by using a wooden block as a ruler. I'm a Hakka but I never knew about this!
