#Taiwan, the #US and #Eswatini held the Partnership Opportunity Delegation (#POD) Virtual Meeting recently, inviting Taiwanese and American professionals working in the #DigitalEconomy and the #ICT, #energy and #FoodProcessing sectors to take part.
Attendees learned about the country’s investment environment and its competitiveness in the Southern African region from both a representative from the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority and the US firm the Coca-Cola Company, which has made long-term investments in the #BeautifulKingdom.
This is the second time since 2019 that Taiwan and the US have employed the POD mechanism to facilitate the development of the private sector in one of Taiwan’s allies and the first time they’ve cooperated to assist an African country.
MOFA hopes the platform can help strengthen strategic partnership in trade relations and be expanded to cooperation with other countries in #Africa.
