Kawasaki Barios (BALIUS) is a motorcycle of total displacement 250cc to which Kawasaki Heavy Industries had done the manufacturing sales before.
Outline
It appears as naked sports model of quarter (250cc) in April, 1991. Installed engines are racer replicas "ZXR250" of this company and four common water-cooled DOHC4 valve parallel cylinders. The cooling fin of the aircooled engine style is added to this and it installs it. Max power demonstrates 45ps that was an upper bound value at that time (The change to 40ps is done through necessity by the new horsepower restriction in 1993). A mono-shock type rear suspension and the large diameter disk brake were adopted in the chassis, and the sporty running that equaled a racer replica that made a clear distinction was achieved with best-selling Zefar 400 in 400cc class at that time.
Sales are continued while changing coloring afterwards, and it restyles it to Barios II(BALIUS-II) that adopts two shock type rear suspensions in April, 1997. The carburetor with the throttle position sensor is newly adopted, and the engine response has been improved.
OEM was supplied from February, 2002 to 2005 to SUZUKI of the same motorcycle manufacturer, and this car was sold by the name of GSX250FX as a succession model of 250cc naked bandit 250.
Production has ended by strengthening automobile exhaust gas regulations at the end of August in 2007 though it was a popular for a long time model.
Origin of car name
Name of Jinba of no perennial youth death that appears in Greek myth Balius. The emblem of the splash horse that imaged the Jinba is drawn in the fuel tank.
