#Repost IG: @the.ark.team If you’re a diver who’s a fan of the big stuff, then good news: Layang Layang isn’t only about hammerhead sharks. For example, at dive sites like The Point or Wrasse Strip, sightings of reef manta rays are quite common.

Other commonly seen big animals here are white tip sharks, grey reef sharks, dogtooth tunas (some of these guys are so large they’re mistaken for a shark at first glance!), and schools of barracudas and jackfish. Sometimes, eagle rays and marbled rays make an appearance too. On a rare occasion, thresher sharks and even pods of orcas have also been sighted here!

How do you overcome your Monday blues ? You go diving with nothing and no one unless they are the best in that category and that field.

It’s been 2 weeks now since I started using my Garmin Descent MK2i as a Dive Com and as my everyday watch and man it’s efficient. It’s like a personal dive buddy that reminds you, navigates you and keeps you safe. It’s also a pretty cool smart watch that reminds you to stay healthy and alert at all times :)

Ohh before I forget I want to give a big warm shout out to the awesome awesome guys at Global Sipadan Adventures for being shall I say the best dive centre to go out diving with in the Semporna area. Top of the class service crew, best instructors and spotters catered to all your needs and requirements. I dare say I haven’t experience such service in Semporna that can compete theirs. Did I mention hot coffee, cold towels and the yummies packed lunch on your dive trips :) and a definite special shout out to Ah Fatt for being a champ !!

The week has just begun and I can’t wait for more awesome dives coming my way.
