I still remember that moment when you first arrived in my arms, you had such rosy cheeks and an endearing look that made me feel ready to become a mum of three - despite the fact that I wasn't sure if I could do it. You gave me hope, strength and motivation to be a better person.
I thought growing up, perhaps your sisters might get jealous of you or bully you since you are the only boy. But you know what? They have been the sweetest sisters you can ever ask for. They dote on you so much, they are always there to comfort you after a fall, they wipe away your tears, they carry you everywhere, they give you the best toys, they save up to buy you a birthday gift and so much more. You are very blessed to have them, my dear.
We are still trying to get you to say "三岁" or 3yo when asked about your age because you are very used to putting two fingers up. Just like that day at KidZania, you went into the bank yourself to start an account and the auntie asked if you are four, to which you politely raised a V-sign and said "I am two". You also just passed the 92cm mark and when we were at USS two weeks ago, you sat on The Enchanted Airways with me for the first time and we went on the Canopy Flyer four times in a row! For someone who used to be very afraid of rides and insisted on sitting on my lap every time, you've certainly grown up and come a long way.
I love seeing how you like to play with Papa, how you pretend to be a zombie, how you love getting tickled by him, how you all sing gibberish songs, how you sit on his shoulders, how he teaches to kick the ball and how you boys play like best friends.
Having you in our lives is really one of the best things that could ever happen. And yes, being parents of three turns out to be awesome after all. We love you so much, baby. 生日快乐 🎂
P.S. Oh, that said, it's finally time to wean you off and I know we both can't bear to because it's such a special bond we have, just you and me. But, I guess there comes a time when we have to learn to let go. Mummy will still always be here beside you, till the day that you no longer need me. I promise.
