Churros Recipe
Mix and boil:
1 cup water
1/4 cup unsalted butter, diced into small cubes
1 Tbsp granulated sugar
1/4 tsp salt

Once boiled in a pot, quickly add in sifted flour:
1 cup all-purpose flour

Wait for 5-10 mins before blend in:
1 large egg (feel free to add another egg for richer tasting, but one is fine)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Heat the pot of vegetable oil to 175C, for frying
Once golden brown, place on a paper towel for 20 seconds for draining before rolling into the cinnamon sugar mix

For coating the churros, mix in
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
And you’re done!

Coffee for dinner @vea_hk. ☕️@chefvickycheng along with 7 of Hong Kong’s top chefs* join forces with @nespresso.hk creating a series of coffee centric menus. Each chef also highlights vegetables grown on the Nespresso Farm in Hong Kong using recycled Nespresso coffee grounds as a fertiliser.

One of my favourite desserts was Chef Vicky’s Coffee “Tong Chong Beng” (糖蔥餅), a nostalgic Cantonese street food snack traditionally made with sugar and coconut. Chef Vicky’s version consists of a French butter crepe and fresh coconut meat along with Nespresso coffee ice cream paired with a cup of Nespresso coffee.

Iced Coffee Cubes น้ำแข็งกาแฟ
กาแฟเย็นหอมกลิ่นวานิลลาอ่อนๆ นำมาทำเป็นก้อนน้ำแข็ง เติมนมเวลาเสิร์ฟเพื่อให้รสกาแฟค่อยๆ ละลายผสมผสานไปกับนม
กาแฟเข้มข้น ½ ถ้วย
กลิ่นวานิลลา 2 ช้อนชา
น้ำตาลทราย 1 ช้อนโต๊ะ
น้ำสะอาด 1½ ถ้วย
นมสด สำหรับเสิร์ฟ

1. ชงกาแฟเข้มข้น ปรุงด้วยกลิ่นวานิลลา และน้ำตาลทราย ใส่น้ำสะอาดลงไป เพื่อเจือจางและลดความร้อน
2. รินส่วนผสมใส่ในถาดทำน้ำแข็ง นำไปแช่แข็ง
3. เสิร์ฟน้ำแข็งกาแฟใส่แก้ว เติมนมสดลงไปตามความเข้มข้นที่ต้องการ


Coffee ½ cup
Vanilla Extract 2 tsp
Sugar 1 tbsp
Water 1½ cup
Milk for serving

1. Brew a coffee of your choice: espresso or instant coffee. Add vanilla extract and sugar, stir till sugar dissolve before adding the water to cool the mixture down.
2. Pour coffee into ice cube moulds and freeze until solid.
3. To serve: add iced coffee cubes into a glass and pour milk over.
