A little midweek treat at one of my favourite places in Hong Kong: Tai Kwun. 🥰
We came here to check out the new @aquanueva X @statementhk pop-up, which features a selection of delicious tapas from their award-winning London restaurant. My personal favourites were the beef short rib potato gratin and the iberico pork fillet with lentils and chorizo. 👌🏻

Konafa Pastry with Ricotta filling HKD $78. The Shredded pastry this time was slightly underbaked, I also expected some more fruity or floral syrup infusion. It's still fun to eat, and in Hong Kong, prob Francis's Knafeh is the version to beat. Albeit in Middle Eastern, Arabic or Israeli, Palestinian, etc places overseas its even more pronounced .. 😍

Two of the best places to photograph Japan during winter are Toyama and Nagano. Both of these places are filled with amazing locations that aren't too famous yet. The locations we visited during this trips are Gokayama, Togakushi, Matsumoto castle, Naraijuku, and Amesaki Beach.
Btw, even though I have a 5D in my hand, 99% was shot on the FX6!

If you're planning to travel around Kyoto, Osaka, or Nara Japan, these are my recommendations.
Even though I was born in Japan, I still enjoy visiting the Kansai Region for it's authenticity unlike Tokyo. I was managed to do all this within 4 days with the help of my friends, and it was honestly one of the most memorable experience. Although the outbreak of Covid 19 (Coronavirus) has hit Japan hard, the cities are functioning like they used to, and it is safe to travel if you wear masks and try to escape the crowd.
The places we visited are, Murou Art Forest, Namba, Tenma, Nara Park, Ukimidou Nara Park, Ninenzaka, Yasaka Pgoda, Gion, Kennninji Temple, and Kyotango.

This is a vlog about me shooting Nara and Kyoto in a day. From the famous deer in Nara park, to relaxing temples of Kenninji Temple, both places represent a very authentic side of Japan.
Kyoto was Japan's initial capital and it is one of the biggest cities in the country with a population of 1.5 million people. There are countless temples and historical structures in this city, along with many locations great for videos and photos such as Fushimi Inari, Arashiyama Bamboo forest, Gion, and many more.
Nara is located somewhere in the middle of Osaka and Kyoto, which only takes an hour on the train to visit. It has some of Japan's oldest temples and you can get some really local experiences once you go off the track.
