I saw your proposal for new rules for racing. Carmelo sent them to me after Le Mans.

You want to put the soft tyres on your bike and make very good race for five laps. Then you want everybody to pull over to the side of the track and wait while you go and get new soft tyres and then the race starts again. And so every five laps everybody must stop while you go and get new tyres, yes? Ha ha ha! You think you make the sneaky racing like the Gibernau, yes? Ha ha ha!

There are some big problems for you in Ducati.

Last week after Le Mans, Gigi and Paolo came to my place in Tavullia for dinner.

They always come to my house for some good Italian mangiare after they have mangiare the French garden merda of snails and worms and the how you say…il bruco, the caterpillar, yes?

I do not know how Zarco swallows these filthy things. The scoreggia he makes from his culo is a disaster, truly!

So we mangiare and then Paolo he says to me: “Vale, please what is to be done about George? We cannot go on like this! The Germans, they will come for me in the night with dogs and tanks and leather clothes, and they will beat me with the legs of the chairs they have broken when they have searched my villa.”

But Gigi he just cries. His eyes they fill with tears and he cries like a bambino. “Vale…” he says to me, and he kisses my hand. “Vale, I beg you. At every race, it is like I am being brutally raped by a bull. But I am not a cow. So I am not made for this kind of thing.

“The bull he hurts me. He makes my life like the culo-ulcer of the street-beggar. I do nothing but weep and cause suffering and look terrible. Please, Vale…you must help me.”

Weiron Tan completes Carlin’s line up at Red Bull Ring

Carlin’s FIA Formula 3 European Championship team welcomes Weiron Tan this weekend, as the Malaysian born racer joins the team’s regular drivers Alessio Lorandi, Ryan Tveter and Peter Li at the Red Bull Ring in Austria. Tan, who last season competed in the Pro Mazda Series, will make his debut in the championship today.

Just days after the team tasted victory at the Pau Grand Prix thanks to the efforts of Alessio Lorandi, the FIA Formula 3 drivers are back in the action this weekend for the fourth round of the championship at Red Bull Ring.

Making his debut with the team will be 21 year-old Tan, a race winner in the 2015 Pro Mazda Series. The American based racer claimed four wins last season and a total of six podiums on his way to fourth in the standings. Previous to Pro Mazda, Weiron raced in German F3 and so has experience of the challenging Red Bull circuit the drivers will compete on this weekend. The young Malaysian claimed two victories at the end of his German F3 campaign, having graduated at the start of the season as vice champion from the Formula Renault BARC championship.

Speaking about the weekend, Tan said, “I’m very grateful for the opportunity Trevor has given me this weekend and it’s great to be part of Carlin family. Obviously my goal is to come here and learn as much as I can; progression is absolutely key. I don’t have any expectations, these guys have already done loads of testing and three race events already so already have a lot more mileage than me. I’m focusing on doing as much as I can and hopefully doing a good job for the team.”

Trevor Carlin added, “We’re delighted to have Weiron join us this weekend. We were able to watch his progress pretty closely last season in the Pro Mazda Series which runs on the Mazda Road to Indy alongside Indy Lights. He has a great attitude both in and out of the car and I’m very pleased we finally have chance to work together. It will be a tough learning curve for Weiron this weekend; adapting back to an F3 car against drivers that have been preparing and racing in the series for several months, but if he focuses on making steps forward with every session, we’ll be very pleased.”

Track action kicks off with practice this morning.
