...and the SIngapore Armed Forces (SAF) also recognizes the wife's role. The SAF gives the wives a token of appreciation/ thanx/ understanding when their husbands are away for military training/ session/ mission.
My husband served 22years at the #SAF (Armour division) after his compulsory National Service duties.

Each year, the SAF holds an appreciation dinner to thank those NSmen who go beyond their NS duties. These Volunteers, Reservist On Voluntary Extended Reserve Service (ROVERS) and Key Appointment Holders commit time and energy despite holding senior positions at work because they are personally committed to build a strong defence for Singapore.
We thank these NSmen for the many years of contribution. They serve as role models especially as we commemorate NS50 this year.
