It’s been awhile since I last posted a picture of me. Without Layla, without Deon, not in home clothes, not without makeup. Just me, post motherhood, looking stylish, glamorous and unfriendly. Haha!
While I must admit that it is nice to have chio photos to showcase on social media, however as I age, more and more so I relish being in the present. And that means, when I am with my daughter I spend quality time with her instead of trying to capture the perfect moment, and be spending quality time with my phone instead. Likewise, when I’m with my friends, at work, with my family, with Deon, having a nice meal, all dressed up for an event or an editorial shoot, when I’m cooking, reading a book, taking my daughter out to park, cycling, working out, etc. I am in that moment with them and myself. It is such a beautiful feeling to be able to be completely engaged in something I am doing, such a privilege to be spending quality time with myself especially after being a mom.
It is unfortunate that in this time and age, people often do things for the sake of presenting it to the rest of the world. There’s this weird mentality of, 'if I don’t show then it doesn’t count because people wouldn’t know that I have done it.'
I’m proud to say, those days where I needed external validation is over.
When I first started Instagram, it was because I wanted to document my life’s journey. I posted my first picture on 10 June 2011, it’s been a decade (OMG)! It’s been through so many stages of my life with me. The good times and the bad, many relationships, heartbreaks, marriage, vacations, wonderful meals, hairstyles, fashion, deaths, births. I am delighted that 10 years later, ive stayed authentic and shared only things that matters to me at that point in my life. it’s like a little journal that I keep. I may not put in much effort with showing ‘Instagram-worthy’ pictures, but I sure do with writing my thoughts.
So thank you guys, for being here with me all these years. For accepting my less than perfect photos, my bad grammar, my infrequent posts, my long-windedness, my non-existent replies and comments.
But here I am, what you see is what you get.
Happy blessed Monday!

.

First of all, this article is too long for me to translate properly @@
So I will summarize it short and please forgive my grammar mistakes 😅
.
I was in my alma mater, Kaohsiung Senior High School, to give a speech to the students.
I shared with them my philosophy of life and suggest them follow their hearts, live in the present moment, do not regret.
.
I told students who majored in music, to keep enjoy in music and to work hard with their beloved musical instrument, but be brave to quit if this was not what they did enjoy in. Maybe they were forced by the society, parents or anything. Now is the most early time to save the rest of theirs youth from such a burden.
.
I knew they did listen carefully, that’s why they asked me some questions.
Many of them got the same question, which made me astonished and a bit sad,
“Do you think being a dentist with high income is the key enabling you to be engaged in your hobbies?”
Does this question mean they believe one’s income is more important than what one is interested in?
.
I cared about this question so much for one week after the speech.
And I asked their teacher to pass on to the cute and young, and maybe perplexed, students as following,
.
1.I’ve seen many people who are happy and successful. They are devoted to what they love and get money for living from it. He or she might be rich or poor, upper class or lower class, depending on the definition of the society, but their contentment and joy cannot be defined.
2. There are a lot of people with high income. Take dentists as an example, is every dentist looking for what he loves? Or happy? Healthy? I find my happiness from my hobbies, that’s why I share this with you. Dentistry should be shared by some dentist who are enthusiastic about dentistry, not me. I shared my occupation to you only because you are facing the college entrance timing..
3. Money is a part of our lives, a little part of our lives. Not the whole life, and not necessary either. We are richer than many people, and at the same time, poorer than many people. I would rather compare myself with those poorer than me, because that makes me feel better, and feeling is the most important thing for a person. When I compare myself with those rich men, I am nothing, I can’t afford a villa, a personal airplane, a yacht.
If we have a lot of water, we can fill a big pot. If we have little water, we can fill a thin glass and reach the same height of water level, which represents the degree of contentment.
Make clear who we are, and take our responsibility, and enjoy what we deserve.
There are different people for different places, apartments, condominium, mansion, villa, however, the common point of them are being a nice and safe cozy home.
.
If you want to get on a cruise ship, you can earn enough money for the ticket or get the job as a waiter on the ship.
When I couldn’t afford the fee for equestrian class, I worked in the stable and took care of the horses for an afternoon to get the chance to ride the horse for half an hour
.
May you kind and brave, enjoy the life with no regret

‼ 7 TIPS HỌC PART 2 MỘT PHÁT ĂN LUÔN ‼
Tips ở đây là chuẩn bị 1 ăn 2, ví dụ miêu tả "teacher" bạn có thể áp dụng luôn cho chủ đề "Describe a person who teach you an important thing" hoặc "Describe a person you spend most time with"
- Benefits
- Examples
- Comparison with others/with other cases/ with the past
- Popularity
Ví dụ đề bài: Describe a famous person you would like to meet
You should say:
- Who the person is
- Why he/she is famous
- Why you would like to meet this celebrity
- What you would like to do if you met this person.
Cấu trúc bài nói như sau:
Describe a famous person you would like to meet
- Bạn nói: Today I’d like to tell you about a famous person that I would like to meet
Who the person is
- Bạn nói: So to begin with, in reply to the initial point of who the person is, and my choice is going to be...(câu trả lời của bạn - tên người nổi tiếng đó)
Why he/she is famous
- Bạn nói: Going on to my next point which is why he is famous, and what I need to emphasize here is that….
Why you would like to meet this celebrity
- Bạn nói: And now with reference to why I would like to meet this celebrity, the point I want to make here is that…..
What you would like to do if you met this person
- Bạn nói: As a final point, if time permits, I’d like to bring in the point of what I would like to do if I met him, really I should mention that….
Today I’d like to tell you about a famous person that I would like to meet. So to begin with, in reply to the initial point of who the person is, and my choice is going to be Sơn Tùng MTP. Going on to my next point which is why he is famous, and what I need to emphasize here is that he has an amazing style and his voice is incredible. And now with reference to why I would like to meet this celebrity, the point I want to make here is that he gives me a lot of energy when I hear his song, and I am inspired by him to follow my dream to become a singer. As a final point, if time permits, I’d like to bring in the point of what I would like to do if I met him, really I should mention that I will give him a hug and say thank you for always taking care of his fans and inspiring young people to be creative and just do what they love.

Media and data are often used as collective nouns, so you will see them them follow by both a singular or plural verb form. The term “social media” is both uncountable and plural in modern English usage. The word “media” is traditionally a plural because “medium” is the singular.
5. "disinformation" is used in our class video rather than "misinformation" to stress the next phrase (so-called FAKE news): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disinformation, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fake_news

This is my first Kinetic typography project for university. Animation is not really my strong point or my passion, so perhaps this seems a little amateur. I spent about 11 hours per day working on this for a week, and my sleeping schedule became completely messed up from all the all-nighters!! Finally it's done. Hope you enjoy!
Credit for the audio goes to McGrath Pest Control - I found the audio clip on Youtube. The sound quality is so low.. I exported it wrong for that part, whoops...
