尖沙咀│一盅兩件。素食點心 (eng below)

嘩嘩嘩！超久沒有去港式「飲茶」了！其實小時候不太愛「飲茶」，素食後就光明正大地不用去，本來是挺開心的 🤣 後來太久沒去，居然還有點懷念，畢竟這是我們香港的本土文化啊 😎

最近這家【緻素坊 Veggie Kingdom】超級紅，很多素友都非常推薦！說到我的最愛一定是「叉燒包」！這個叉燒包跟傳統的有些許不一樣，包子外層有點像「菠蘿油」的酥皮 ，悄悄告訴你，我以前最討厭吃叉燒包 😅 現在居然那麼喜歡，連我自己也不敢相信 😆

還有一向喜愛的「燒賣」，素食版的燒賣感覺更真材實料，我可以一個人吃3籠 ✌️ 還有「腸粉」也是必點，超推薦「靈芝菇素腸」😋

第一次去的時候超興奮，與其他3位美女點了超多點心，感覺把整個點心紙的食物都點了一遍 😂 第二次去是跟家人，大家都意外地覺得好吃 😇

Tsim Sha Tsui│Vegan Dim Sum
It's been a long time since I went to Hong Kong-style "Dim Sum House"! In fact, I didn’t really like "Dim Sum House" when I was young. I was happy that I don't have to go after my switch. But sometimes will miss it because it is our local culture in Hong Kong 😎

Recently this [Veggie Kingdom] is super popular, and many vegans highly recommend it! Speaking of my favorite, it must be "BBQ Pork Buns - Cha Siu Bao"! This Cha Siu Bao is a little different from the traditional one. The outer layer of the bun is a bit like "pineapple bun". Let me tell you secretly, I used to hate the Cha Siu Bao the most. Now I actually like it so much, I can't believe it myself 😆

There is also the "Pork Dumplings - Siu Mai" that has always been my favorite. It feels like the vegan version of Siu Mai has more real ingredients. I can have 3 cages by myself. ✌️ There is also "Rice Noodle Rolls" which is also a must try. I highly recommend the "Ganoderma Lucidum Mushroom" flavor 😋

I was so excited when I went there for the first time. I ordered a lot of dim sum with 3 other beauties. We felt like we ordered the whole dim sum paper food. The second time I went with my family, everyone unexpectedly found it delicious 😇

佐治兄獲提名角逐「2021第九屆香港精神獎-文化貢獻獎」，這真是件喜事，因為佐治兄是我認識的香港人当中，最熱衷於保育、研究和弘揚香港歷史、傳統文化與精神的一位。對於香港的傳統文化與許多大小歷史古跡，佐治兄談起來時猶如數家珍，而且都有根有據，談話間就能得知他在這方面做了很扎實的研究工作。

因為種種原因，大部份搞文化的人其實是相當孤獨的，不過佐治兄卻堅持在這座發達城市中分享香港的故事，而他的熱忱成功地引起很多不同年齡層香港人的共鳴，所以我覺得他並不孤獨。所謂“德不孤，必有鄰”，說的應該就是這個意思。

我們新加坡清史研究學會也有幸于2019年邀請佐治兄，在新加坡國家圖書館分享有關香港文化與歷史保育方面的知識，出席者們都獲益匪淺，對於香港已不再僅僅是一個購物天堂或美食天堂的印象，更了解這座城市底下還蘊含了很多非常豐富的文化内涵。

在此，我也要為佐治兄拉票，因為我真的由衷認為，他實至名歸。

When I first knew that Wan George was being nominated for the 9th Spirit of Hong Kong Award (Spirit in Culture category), I immediately know that he is just the right person for it. George has been very passionate in promoting, preserving the traditional culture and history of Hong Kong, and he conducts solid research on them.

We had the honour of inviting George to give a cultural talk in Singapore at the National Library about Hong Kong’s history, culture, and the city’s efforts in preserving them, the audience all greatly benefited from the event which was held back in 2019.

Hereby, I would like to canvass for George, simply because I know he and 程尋香港 Hide and Seek Tour truly deserves the recognition for their great efforts in telling the Hong Kong story. 🙂🇭🇰

The tamago course at The Araki is definitely one of the most creative versions I’ve ever seen. Taking on the appearance of a typical Hong roll cake, The Araki’s tamago also writes out the Japanese character の. Chef Araki beautifully incorporates elements of Hong Kong culture while still preserving all Japanese traditional aspects of this final course. Reiko Omura, an elegant, well-adorned Japanese lady who has lived in Hong Kong for 28 years, loves to turn traditional Hong Kong dim sum into exquisite miniatures.

Dim sum trolleys are one of Omura’s favorite parts of the dim sum experience. “Dim sum trolleys are unique in Hong Kong. We don’t have that in Japan. And the scenes of old ladies pushing these cute trolleys around the tea restaurant are very charming,” says the clay modelling instructor. As dim sum trolleys have gradually been phased out by digitized ordering systems, she is now creating miniature dim sum to preserve her memories. “Many Japanese people visit Hong Kong to experience this traditional culture. It would be such a pity if dim sum trolleys were to vanish. I hope to preserve this piece of heritage by making these miniatures.”
