The Fantastically Great Women series is the newest and fabulous addition to our library and it talks about the incredible women who have helped shaped the world, led remarkable lives and made their mark on history.

We've been reading about how Jane Austen created some of the best stories in an era where women were not supposed to hold jobs, how Marie Curie discovered polonium and radium and is the only woman to have received the Nobel Prize twice, how Amelia Earhart became the first pilot to fly solo across the Pacific Ocean, how Valentina Tereshkova was the first female Soviet astronaut to blast into space and many more.

The activity books that accompany these books are an engaging way to let the kids learn more from these amazing stories and besides over 200 stickers of the heroines, you can write a diary entry like Anne Frank, find your way out of a maze like Sacagawea, or design clothes and start your own fashion revolution like Coco Chanel.

It's a reminder for us that no goal is too far and no mountain is too high. We are definitely inspired to do more and reach higher - yes, I am too - by this fantastic series which is wonderfully written and beautifully illustrated by the talented Kate Pankhurst.
