I had a few options as the background color for #StillGoodEP and we were all discussing (@luftmanp , @charlesnkeys and I ) I love them all!!

Then i stoppeds for a moment and went for the first one as it reminded me of the cover of one of my favourite books #UntetheredSoul by #MichaelASinger ✨ It saved me from those days feeling called from the inside, while being snowed in confusions of my thoughts ✨ if you felt like you’re not in tuned with your heart and soul, you might wanna read it 🔮 ( all the quotes in this post are from Untethered Soul)

coincidently, back in November last year when I was going through a tough time, I found out the Japanese word for this colour ✨ they called it “mizu”… “In Japan, 'mizu' is as different from 'blue' as 'green' is from 'blue.” I guess this colour has become the representation of - well, let me try to come up with a word for it - maybe, “quietly tremendous transformation” to me, like, some sort of transitions… the kind of revolution that doesn’t happen overnight, but little by little each day💓 with both darkness and lightness ✨ if you’ve been with me through my captions, you have probably read it! ✨

that’s it, i just wanna share with you how this colour kept coming back to me at different stages of my life to remind me how much I’ve grown, how much everyone around me has grown, and how much more to discover about life ✨ it keeps coming back to remind my heart to be wide opened to life i guess 🧚🏻‍♀️ i hope you, too, will find little hints, little messages life does give each day customized to be found by you to support for your journey 💓 have a great day and thank you for reading, darlin’, sending you love and light! — Kim.

Someone asked, “Is it wrong to borrow money?”

“The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender.” (Proverbs‬ ‭22:7‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The Bible says that the borrower is servant to the lender. This is because the borrower has to work to pay the lender.

One of God’s promises is that “you shall lend and not borrow”.

“Yahweh will open to you his good treasure in the sky, to give the rain of your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You will lend to many nations, and you will not borrow.” (Deuteronomy‬ ‭28:12‬ ‭WEB)

If someone is lending, means that someone else is borrowing isn’t it?

So God is not saying don’t borrow money, if not He would say “give” and not “lend”.

I believe what the promise means is that He will prosper us who believe in Him, so that we will reach a position where we don’t need to borrow, but we will have more than enough such that we can even lend money to those in need (as led by the Spirit).

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers.” (‭‭3 John‬ ‭1:2‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

God prospers us as we give as unto Him. Sponsor the Gospel, help those in need, especially from the household of faith. As we sow seeds bountifully, He shall generously multiply seeds back to us so that we can continue to be well-supplied for every good work. Just read the whole chapter of 2 Corinthians 9.

As we do so in faith and worship towards God, He will supply us with good ideas, connections, helpers, to bring more financial blessings towards us.

“Send your grain across the seas, and in time, profits will flow back to you. But divide your investments among many places, for you do not know what risks might lie ahead.” (Ecclesiastes‬ ‭11:1-2‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

Through the Holy Spirit, we will receive foreknowledge that allows us to prosper. We really need Him to supply us with winning decisions.

If you are currently in debt, keep believing in His promise to prosper you and make you a financier, not a borrower. He is able to work all things for your good!

Scatter More Seeds and Increase

“There is one who scatters, and increases yet more. There is one who withholds more than is appropriate, but gains poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat. He who waters shall be watered also himself. People curse someone who withholds grain, but blessing will be on the head of him who sells it. He who diligently seeks good seeks favor, but he who searches after evil, it shall come to him. He who trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous shall flourish as the green leaf.” (Proverbs‬ ‭11:24-28‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

In this world, there is a principle at work, and that is the principle of sowing and reaping: every seed sown and watered eventually produces a harvest.

“While the earth remains, seed time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night will not cease.”” (Genesis‬ ‭8:22‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

When you give, that is an act of sowing, and it will have an immediate effect of blessing somebody, but it will also produce a harvest for you in due time.

The kind of harvest you reap depends on the type of seed you sow. If you sow a financial seed, you will receive a multiplied harvest of finances.

“Remember this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. He who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart; not grudgingly, or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work. As it is written, “He has scattered abroad, he has given to the poor. His righteousness remains forever.” Now may he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, supply and multiply your seed for sowing, and increase the fruits of your righteousness; you being enriched in everything to all liberality, which produces through us thanksgiving to God.” (2 Corinthians‬ ‭9:6-11‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Those who sow generously will reap generously. The apostle Paul confirmed this and encouraged believers to give cheerfully knowing that their gifts go on to bless many people, produce thanksgiving to God, and also abounding grace to the giver.

If we constantly receive but do not give, it will breed the love of possessions, and be detrimental to our own well-being. Hoarding, stinginess, and a scarcity mindset will fester in a person who does not give.

When we step out in faith to worship Jesus through tithing our income and giving as led by the Holy Spirit, we sanctify our hearts from the love of money.

It also has the secondary effect of sowing financial seeds to produce a harvest in our future.

When we give, we are actively putting our trust in the Lord and not in riches. Whenever we give, we can pray for the Lord to multiply our seed for sowing.

As God increases your prosperity and enlarges your coast, get excited about being able to sow even more than before.

I once saw a quote by Mark Batterson, “When God blesses you financially, don’t raise your standard of living. Raise your standard of giving.” This is so succinct and wonderfully true. Covet the privilege of being able to give more.

Material possessions in this world are fun and nice comforts and privileges to have, but nothing beats the honor and joy of sowing into God’s kingdom, sponsoring the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and feeding those in need like widows and orphans, especially those in our household of faith. The rewards for these acts of righteousness will remain forever!

The thought of taking my children solo on holiday used to make me so sad and scared. After a beautiful day at the seaside, I am no longer afraid. I know when the world opens up again, the kids and I will have a blast visiting different places and continue to make beautiful memories.
