กรณีศึกษา ห้าง Takashimaya กำลังเจอความท้าทายในไทย /โดย ลงทุนแมน
หากพูดถึงเชนห้างสรรพสินค้าในญี่ปุ่น
หลายคนคงจะคุ้นเคยกับ
Daimaru
Tokyu
Isetan
เพราะห้างเหล่านี้เคยเข้ามาลงทุนในไทย
มีทั้งปิดตัวไปแล้ว และยังเปิดดำเนินการอยู่

ซึ่งห้างเหล่านี้ก็ถือเป็นเชนห้างสรรพสินค้ารายใหญ่ในญี่ปุ่นทั้งหมด

แต่เมื่อปี 2 ปีที่ผ่านมา เราอาจได้ยินกันอยู่บ่อยครั้งกับการเปิดตัวของห้างที่ชื่อว่า Siam Takashimaya

แล้วห้างแห่งนี้เป็นของใคร มีที่มาที่ไปอย่างไร
ลงทุนแมนจะเล่าให้ฟัง

Takashimaya เป็นห้างสรรพสินค้าสัญชาติญี่ปุ่น ก่อตั้งโดยคุณ Shinshichi Iida ในปี ค.ศ. 1831
โดยเริ่มต้นมาจากร้านขายชุดกิโมโนมือสอง ก่อนที่จะขยายสาขาไปทั่วญี่ปุ่น

ห้างนี้มีความโดดเด่นในเรื่องของการตกแต่งหน้าร้านภายในห้าง ที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์ จนเป็นต้นแบบการจัดร้านของห้างสมัยใหม่ในปัจจุบัน การคัดเลือกสินค้าคุณภาพมาจำหน่าย และการบริการคุณภาพในสไตล์ญี่ปุ่น

ปัจจุบัน ถึงแม้จะมีเพียง 17 สาขาทั่วประเทศญี่ปุ่น แต่ Takashimaya ก็ยังสามารถรักษาอันดับหนึ่งด้านยอดขายมาเป็นเวลาหลายปี โดยล่าสุดในปี 2018 ก็ทำยอดขายไปมากถึง 2.5 แสนล้านบาทเลยทีเดียว

เรามาดูรายได้ของ Takashimaya กัน
ปี 2016 รายได้ 257,395 ล้านบาท กำไร 5,816 ล้านบาท
ปี 2017 รายได้ 264,633 ล้านบาท กำไร 6,593 ล้านบาท
ปี 2018 รายได้ 254,399 ล้านบาท กำไร 4,582 ล้านบาท

ปัจจุบัน Takashimaya มีทั้งหมด 21 สาขา โดยแบ่งเป็น 17 สาขา ในประเทศญี่ปุ่น และอีก 4 สาขาในต่างประเทศ คือ สิงคโปร์ เซี่ยงไฮ้ เวียดนาม และไทย

โดยสาขาที่ทำรายได้มากที่สุดในญี่ปุ่นก็คือ สาขาในเมืองโอซาก้า
ส่วนในต่างประเทศก็คือ สาขาสิงคโปร์

แล้วที่มาที่ไปของ Siam Takashimaya ในประเทศไทย เป็นอย่างไร

Siam Takashimaya นั้นเกิดจากการร่วมทุนของทั้ง 3 บริษัท คือ Takashimaya กลุ่มสยามพิวรรธน์ และเครือซีพี ซึ่งสยามพิวรรธน์ และ เครือซีพีเป็นผู้ลงทุนหลักในโครงการริมแม่น้ำขนาดใหญ่อย่างไอคอนสยาม

แน่นอนว่าด้วยทำเลที่อยู่ริมน้ำ ท่ามกลางแหล่งท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรมจำนวนมาก โครงการรถไฟฟ้าที่จะเชื่อมมาถึงโครงการนี้ในอนาคต รวมถึงที่พักโรงแรมสุดหรูอีกหลายแห่ง จึงเป็นเรื่องที่ดึงดูดให้ Takashimaya เข้ามาเปิดห้างที่นี่

แต่เวลาผ่านไป ดูเหมือนห้าง Siam Takashimaya ยังเจอความท้าทายเรื่องจำนวนคนที่เข้าห้างนี้

หากย้อนไปเมื่อหลายปีก่อน ห้างสรรพสินค้ารายใหญ่อื่นๆ จากญี่ปุ่นก็เคยมาลงทุนที่ไทยกันบ้างแล้ว

เริ่มตั้งแต่ Daimaru ที่เข้ามาตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2507 ซึ่งในเวลานั้นถือเป็นห้างแรกในไทยที่มีบันไดเลื่อน แต่ก็ยังไม่ประสบความสำเร็จเท่าที่ควร สุดท้ายก็ต้องปิดตัวลงไปในปี พ.ศ. 2543

ส่วน Tokyu ปัจจุบันมีอยู่สาขาเดียว ตั้งอยู่ในห้างมาบุญครอง

และสุดท้ายคือ Isetan ซึ่งก็มีสาขาเดียวเช่นกันตั้งอยู่ที่ห้างเซ็นทรัลเวิลด์

จะเห็นได้ว่า ถึงแม้ห้างญี่ปุ่นจะเข้ามาลงทุนในไทยเป็นเวลานาน แต่ก็ยังถือเป็นความท้าทายในการรักษาสถานะให้คงอยู่รวมทั้งขยายสาขาเพิ่มเติม อาจเป็นเพราะปัจจัยหลายด้าน เช่น กลุ่มลูกค้าที่ค่อนข้างเล็ก และ การแข่งขันที่ค่อนข้างสูงในประเทศไทย

ในขณะที่ Takashimaya เองนั้น มีประสบการณ์ในการลงทุนที่ต่างประเทศอยู่บ้างแล้ว

ถึงแม้ว่าในปัจจุบันจะมีอยู่เพียงสาขาเดียวที่มีกำไรคือ สาขาสิงคโปร์ ในขณะที่สาขาอื่นๆ เช่น เวียดนามและไทยนั้นยังเปิดตัวมาได้ไม่นาน ซึ่งอาจจะยังต้องใช้เวลาในการปรับกลยุทธ์ต่อไป

ซึ่งก็ต้องมาติดตามดูกันว่า Siam Takashimaya ที่มาพร้อมกับโครงการสุดหรูอย่าง ไอคอนสยามนั้น จะมีกลยุทธ์อะไรที่จะสามารถดึงดูดให้คนไทยเข้ามาเดินมากขึ้นอีกในอนาคต

แต่เท่าที่ดูสภาพในปัจจุบัน ก็คงต้องบอกว่า ท้าทายมาก เลยทีเดียว..

Tokyu MBK CENTER
It was reported in Japanese newspapers that TOKYU will be withdrawn at the end of January 2021.
There is no statement from TOKYU so far.
If it's true, it will be a Japanese department store's withdrawal following ISETAN. It's a pity.

ห้างเซ็นทรัลเวิลด์คือหนึ่งในห้างที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในประเทศไทยนะครับ ที่นี่เป็นศูนย์การค้าที่มีพื้นที่รวมกว่า 800,000 ตารางเมตร! มีคนเดินเข้าออกทุกๆวันไม่ต่ำกว่าวันละหมื่นคน ด้วยพื้นที่ขนาดนี้คนส่วนใหญ่ที่มาที่นี่ครั้งแรก จะบ่นเป็นเสียงเดียวกันว่า นี่เป็นห้างที่เดินยากม้ากกก เดินแล้วหลงทางตลอด

ในฐานะคนที่เดินที่นี่บ่อยๆ ผมอยากบอกว่าจริงๆแล้วมันมีจุดสังเกตหลายๆอย่างที่หลายๆคนอาจจะไม่รู้ แต่ถ้ารู้แล้วจะทำให้เดินห้างที่นี่ง่ายขึ้นมากๆ วันนี้ผมจะมาบอกทริคการเดินเซ็นทรัลเวิลด์ ว่าเดินยังไงให้ไม่หลงอีกต่อไป!

อยากบอกว่าคลิปนี้ไม่ได้สนับสนุนโดยเซ็นทรัลเวิลด์แต่อย่างใด แต่ยังไงก็ต้องขอขอบคุณเซ็นทรัลเวิลด์ที่ช่วยอำนวยความสะดวกในการถ่ายทำนะครับ หวังว่าทุกคนจะได้ประโยชน์จากคลิปนี้นะครับ ^^
