It's the album design project for Taiwanese rapper Kenzy 小春. The idea of this album is to showing the people, the environment and the traditional culture around him since he was a kid, it's more about himself than he was in his group MJ116. So we decided to use his tattoo as the main visual. I was using the idea of "Tattoo is the real clothing that you wear." as the main concept in this project. That's why the cover and the lyrics booklet was designed as a cross. It's a basic shape of a human and a clothing. On the other side of this album, he also showing his flaming personality. The name of this album "SHA KUAN" means "WHAT'S CRACKIN'?" in Taiwanese. It's a really street and traditional way to shout or holla at your friends. In this part, I chose red as the main color. Also, it's a congratulation to him to release his first solo album like a red envelope (紅包). On the merchandise of this album, I wanted to show the street part of this album by using the pin to present the family logo that I designed. The family logo pin has been used as a symbol of some Japanese and Taiwanese gangs. It also represent part of his environment and story. On his family logo, I used his nick name 春 as the main graphic and I played with some visual from Japanese legendary Daimyō Oda Nobunaga. I founded Kenzy has shared some similar personality with Oda Nobunaga. I used the shape of his castle and the wave shapes around his family logo into this logo design. On the scarf, I used it as the idea of "The level up of a street gangster". It's like a high ranking gangster will need it while he is wearing a nice suit in high class meeting with other bosses.
