Dalam situasi semasa pandemik ini, amat penting untuk memastikan bahawa setiap lapisan masyarakat dipelihara, dan memiliki akses kepada barangan keperluan asas. Pada 6 Julai 2021, saya telah menitahkan agar tempat perlindungan sementara segera didirikan untuk para gelandangan di Johor.
Kerajaan Johor bertindak pantas dengan membuka dua tempat perlindungan sementara di Perling dan Anjung Singgah yang dapat menampung sehingga 200 orang. Tempat perlindungan kekal ketiga sedang dibina oleh MBJB di Taman Larkin Perdana dan dijangka siap menjelang Julai 2022.
Ini adalah komitmen saya kepada rakyat untuk memastikan mereka mempunyai tempat untuk berteduh dan tidak kelaparan. Rakyat didahulukan, daripada yang lain.

In this current pandemic it is crucial to ensure that every segment of society is taken care of, and has access to basic neccesities. On 6th July 2021, I had decreed that temporary shelters be established immediately for the homeless in Johor.
The Johor Government has acted swiftly by opening two temporary shelters in Perling and Anjung Singgah which can accomodate a total of 200 people. A third permanent shelter is being built by MBJB at Taman Larkin Perdana and is expected to be ready by July 2022 .
This is my commitment to the people to ensure they have a roof over their heads and do not go hungry. They come first, above anything else.
