National Day is just days away. Joined President Dr Tony Tan and my colleagues for the SG50 National Day Observance at the Istana this morning. It was a simple but meaningful ceremony.
We sang “Majulah Singapura” to one of the earliest recorded versions of the national anthem, from 1959. We recited the Pledge, sang our favourite national day songs, and enjoyed a rousing performance of Singapore tunes by the Kulintang and Marimba Ensemble from Metta School.
