The COVID-19 stopped the world in its tracks a year ago. Globally, more than 3 million people have died from complications related to the virus and more than 182 million people have been infected.
Amongst the tragedy are stories of people who defied the odds — surviving lengthy hospital stays and fighting the virus despite age or other medical conditions.
