What I do to pack and prepare for a short trip with only a small carry on backpack. Normally if I were to travel longer I would use a rolling small carry on suitcase, but in this situation, I wanted to travel as lightly and cheaply as possible because budget airlines in Europe are very strict about what you can bring on board.

Sang reached out to me about his missing father since 1980 and just a few days prior found out where his father's last known address was after an online people search. He gave me that address and I went to see if his father was still there.
