Never been a fan of chicken essence until I tried @kinohimitsusg's earlier this year! Their chicken essence is made from 180 days old free-range (hormones and antibiotiocs-free) chickens, and uses a high-pressure double-boiled method to extract the chicken essence.
I really enjoy the light, clean, flavor of the chicken essence, and there is no bitter after-taste at all! For me, I love that chicken essence actually helps to promote metabolism, nourish the body, and enhances immunity (amongst other things). The fiance also takes it to feel revitalised (even though there's no caffeine) and sharper at work. For breastfeeding mums, it also helps with post-natal lactation!
Now available at NTUC FairPrice supermarkets islandwide and FairPrice Online at only $9.95 for Plus! Members (U.P. $19.90) for a box of 6. SUPER good deal! #sp #ad

{IG Giveaway} 'Cause there's somethin' in the way you look at me, it's as if my heart knows you're the missing piece...
With a baby who is on exclusive breastfeeding, the most important item that I bring with me everywhere I go is my nursing cover. Yup, with nearly eight years of breastfeeding experience and being determined to go even further in this journey, I guess I am very accustomed to nursing my baby in public but I always do so under the comfort of my nursing cover.
Over the years, I've tried many different covers but this has got to be my favourite so far - my Paige nursing cover from Lil' Milk Monsters. Made of soft rayon spandex mix, it is stretchy, breathable and soft on the skin.
I can easily fold it up to keep inside my bag as the material is thin and does not occupy much space. The amazing thing is despite its light weight, it is a large, handy nursing cover that provides 360 degrees of coverage - yup, including front, back and both sides. That makes me feel assured when I am breastfeeding and I do not have to constantly tug to adjust it as I am fully covered all the way and it makes me feel really comfortable too.
It also doubles up as a blanket for the baby when we are out and I can even use it as his headrest, a stroller cover or even a scarf too. The black hearts on grey background makes this classic design easy to match. As far as I can tell, it is definitely going to stick with me for a long time.
Quote 'SUMMER10' for 10% off their Regular range cover.

On the last day of my confinement, I was feeling a little melancholic. While I was looking forward to 'breaking out of jail' and enjoying a hot bath every day, I was also thinking of how I would need to cook my own meals soon. After all, I had settled my meals for the past 28 days with thanks to Tian Wei Signature and although I knew sooner or later I had to step back into the kitchen, I wasn't very keen on the idea.
Yup, cooking has never been my forte and it's not something I look forward to. I do it purely for the sake of letting my kids be able to eat home cooked, healthy food. Considering that I was still in my postpartum recovery period, I was not knowledgeable about what ingredients would benefit me, help to nourish my body or speed up the recovery process.
At that time, the baby just turned a month old and I was struggling with pumping every 2-3 hours as he was not able to latch properly. I must say that was a hassle which drained my energy and made me exhausted, along with making me worry constantly if I was producing enough milk for him. Did I mention I still had three older kids and a house to look after and I was solo parenting on most days?
So, you can imagine how relieved I was to find out about Relactosg, a first-of-its-kind catering service in Singapore which provides breastfeeding mums with healthy food packed with lactation-boosting ingredients to support them in their motherhood journey. I took up a 21-day lunch package with them which allowed me to feel less stressful in the morning as my lunch would be delivered right to my doorstep, enabling me to focus on looking after the baby in the morning. Even though I still had to prepare simple lunch for the kids and subsequently dinner for all of us, having my own lunch settled for a few weeks in a row took a load off my shoulders. Let me share with you more about how the experience was and answer some of the queries you might have.
