＃恐龍迷必訪的博物館又收集到一間 🙌🏻

身為恐龍迷的母親，怎麼能錯過西岸規模最大的歷史博物館! Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County (洛杉磯自然歷史博物館) 的恐龍廳總共有超過兩百多件化石標本、大型立體透視模型和以恐龍為主題的各種互動式影像。

恐龍廳中最大的恐龍是來自中國、脖子長長的馬門溪龍(Mamenchisaurus)。這座博物館也是世界上唯ㄧ具體呈現暴龍(T-Rex)成長階段的歷史博物館。三隻不同年齡的暴龍（2歲、14歲、17歲）放在同一個展廳，很難想像如此兇猛的恐龍小時候其實還蠻可愛的。

館內最特別的標本莫過於海生爬行動物 -雙臼椎龍（Polycotylus) 的小baby。透過骨頭的特徵，科學家發現這並不是雙臼椎龍還未消化的大餐，而是這隻雙臼椎龍未出世的寶寶。更重要的是這個化石顯示雙臼椎龍是會直接生下他們的胎兒，就像許多哺乳動物ㄧ樣，而非卵生。

👉🏻如果要完完整整的把洛杉磯自然歷史博物館逛完，真的需要一整天的時間。如果只想看恐龍的話，建議預留2-3小時。

兩層樓的展覽廳裡，只有我們和另ㄧ組訪客。
這裡能近距離360度觀賞珍貴的恐龍真骨、
全美國最長，最完整的恐龍足跡也可以在這裡看到。

看了這麼多恐龍化石，如何才能在分辨出館內哪些是真的恐龍化石？哪些又是複製化石呢？
1. 展示版上一定列明那件屬複製品，沒有標註的就是真的
2. 真化石埋在地底千萬年，色澤較深且不均勻，掘出來時多有缺失
3. 真化石本身有一定重量，全副巨型的骨骼，需靠金屬架支撐或有鋼絲吊起；複製品多以材料較輕的纖維製作，毋須金屬架支撐。
