All Failures & Lacks Are The Best Things to Happen to Us

3 months ago, when I received this email from my Taiwan client, there was this feeling of bittersweetness.
I was happy because this was the client I did a Zoom consultation last June. He sent me this email on the one-year anniversary date of our Zoom call, to express his gratitude. How sweet!
On the other hand, I could relate to the emotional turmoil he felt at that point in his life.
His experience was my past. It also took me a very long time to walk out from my gloominess.
Once, I analysed the Bazi of a very young lady. She was meticulously jotting down notes as I spoke.
Her detailed note-taking skills easily took the top place among my clients.
Halfway through, I noticed her right hand was trembling slightly. I thought it was due to the cold draft from the air conditioning, so I asked if she needed a shawl.
She replied that it was her anxiety disorder acting up.
“I was not fierce or strict with you. What caused your sudden anxiety?”
“I…ever since the pandemic disrupted my plans, I have been in this state of anxiety. I kept feeling useless. All my classmates are progressing expect me. I have nothing to show for and my life is in a mess. I am very anxious. What if I continue to be like this? What am I going to do?”
As she spoke, her eyes turned red and tears started rolling down like a broken strand of pearl necklace scattering onto the ground.
Oh dear! I am beginning to wonder if I have a tear-jerker face or a heart-tormenting voice. Why do my clients, regardless of gender and age, North South or East West, seem to cry easily when they see me?
I grabbed a piece of tissue and handed it to her.
“Ain’t I here already? You came to me for a roadmap and you are very lucky to see me so soon. Look at how precise and neat your notes are! Many of my clients aren’t even on par with you. My job today is to give you answers. If I didn’t have the confidence, I would not have taken up your request. Now that I did, that means there is still hope. If you follow my instructions, you will see things looking up very soon.”
On another occasion, a mother in her forties came to me for her son’s Bazi consultation.
As I was analysing, the mother nodded her head in agreement. The next thing I know, she started weeping loudly.
I turned to look at her husband, who had been silent all along. Did I say something wrong? And hello, your wife was crying. Why weren’t you gentleman enough to give her a tissue paper?
“I am a useless mother. I am incompetent. I do not know how to teach my son well. I love my son very much. But many times, I do not know what to do and thus I flare up at him and speak harshly. I always regret afterwards. I tried enduring but it still ends badly!”
I did not interrupt her and waited for her cries to soften, before speaking gently, “I’m here! I’m already sitting in front of you. You are looking at me now and that means help is here. You know that you are incompetent, so you went looking for solutions. That means you are willing to learn how to be a better mother!”
I handed a piece of tissue and said, “Don’t cry anymore, otherwise, other patrons will think that it’s because I refuse to lend you money.”
Since young, we have been using external possessions to define whether our lives are worth liking.
The family we are born into, our looks, health, body shape, intellect, talents, and then we move on to compare our academics, friendships, career, wealth, marriage and children.
If we are lacking in the area we covet most, we grade our lives as a failure.
I think this is the biggest problem in societal education. Our parents and teachers categorized us that way. Whether we as children are worthy of their love and bragging, depends on the few points above too.
Thus over time, we can only use the term “success” to determine whether we are of value, for some people, whether they should live on to take their next breath.
I very much prefer the definition in Buddhism. We are all Buddhas. Each and every sentient being in the six realms has a Buddha nature in them. But they got lost momentarily and fell into the endless wheel of reincarnation.
Yet, because of our Buddha nature, we have an unlimited source of potential. Every one of us has a very powerful strength inside us. It is just waiting for us to meet an accomplished teacher, so that we have the tools to explore and understand it:
And this strength that we are born with is the capital for us to transform and establish our own destiny.
If life is smooth-sailing, we would never want to leave and would mistake this mortal realm for Pureland. Thus, we all need sufferings, to realise that we should break out of this hell of a place. There has to be a better world somewhere. So how we get there?
We should, in fact, be grateful for all the setbacks and failures we have. Because it is from these sufferings, our wisdom arise:
No single Bazi is perfect. Every failure and lack we experience is the best arrangement for us, so that the heart of renunciation will arise in us and we will return to where we came from.

If I had to talk about my ideal house, it would be a beautiful house by the seaside in a peaceful country setting.
I love the idea of having a two-storey house because I think it would be enough for a small family to live cosily. It would have to be painted blue, which is my favourite colour, and the ceiling would be beautifully decorated with star and moon ornaments.
I love natural lights rather than artificial lights so each room would have its own windows. The windows would also be decorated with coloured string lights and various flowers, which would create a cosy atmosphere for my family. I would hang some photos of inspirational quotes on the walls in case I need some motivation. Each bedroom would have a balcony where we can enjoy the breathtaking view of the sea.
The perfect location would be by the sea because I love the idea of sitting on the beach and watching the sunrise and the sunset every day. Another reason is that the weather in coastal areas is usually nice―not too hot and not too cold. It’s pleasant almost all year round.
I think I would have to save a lot of money if I want to buy a house like this. The price of property has gone up dramatically in recent years, especially in coastal areas, but I think it’s really worth it.

I like the following write up and agree with its statements:
What exactly is Pi? In 2009, when Bitcoin was first released, 50 coins could be mined for free every 10 minutes. Most people found it worthless. At the all-time high (ATH), one Bitcoin was worth almost $63,000. When Litecoin was released in 2011, 100 LTC could be mined for free every day. Most people still think that it is worthless. At its ATH, one Litecoin was worth $300. When Ethereum was first released in 2014, 30 ETH could be mined for free every day. At its recent ATH, one Ethereum was worth $4000.
With the development of mobile internet technology, everyone's life is becoming more and more digital. Cryptocurrency is not only an outlet for entrepreneurs or investors, but an era for all! Pi is a free cryptocurrency network that everyone can join. Anyone can start mining by downloading the application of the Picoin official website with their mobile phone. All Picoins are mined by the user themselves. You can click on mining every 24 hours, and it’s completely free, just like original Bitcoin mining, but it's more convenient and simpler than before.
Looking at the growth of Bitcoin and Ethereum, it can be painful. Two huge opportunities have passed. Many people regret missing out!
No problem! You are reading this writeup and you have learned of the 3rd chance, and its name is Pi Network.
Pi Network is a 100% FREE cryptocurrency project of the Stanford University team of doctors. Pi Network was created with cryptocurrency universal to all users around the world, unlike Bitcoin which is difficult to use and difficult to access to most of the population.
Just own a phone and take 10 seconds of attendance every day and persevere. No crashes, no RAM, you can mine cryptocurrency Pi Network automatically, for free every day. Just like Bitcoin and Ethereum when they were first launched.
The Pi Network project is at the end of its testing phase and is preparing to go public on the mainnet (expected this year end). Currently, if you mine alone, you receive 6pi per day, 180 pi per month. I have been mining Pi since 2019, and have accumulated 19k Pi coins.
If at the end of this year, Pi is priced at 1 USD -> You and I have money for coffee. And as time progresses...
If Pi costs 10USD -> You and I have money to spend.
If Pi costs 100USD -> You and I will be wealthy.
….
If Pi costs 0 USD -> You don’t lose any money. You just wasted your time clicking the “mine Pi” button once a day. However, this scenario is unlikely as the current Pi user base has passed 18 million and is growing rapidly. Pi is a project where we are likely to win. The project is FREE at no cost to you!

The first time I fell in love with Boracay Island, Philippines was in 2009. I was with bunch of great people and that made it special. I was younger back then and my perspective was different.
Now I am 33, soon to be 34, for all those times I have visited this beautiful Island, and how it made me feel human again every time I visit, I just wanted to give back.
On my own little ways, I reached to a few locals and shared what I could. It’s not much. I wish I could do more. I lost my job at Apple Singapore, It’s been two weeks since I am here, but I wish I could do more.
But this post is not about doing less or more. It’s about doing what we can to help and share whatever smallest ways we can.
This post is not about showing how poor Boracay is now, because that’s far from the truth. We have the natural resources that for some people can use to get by. But there are a lot who could not.
This post about reaching out to UFC GYM Singapore who asked me evidence and documents from my doctor showing that depression would not allow me to go to gym. This post is about encouraging UFC GYM Singapore to return the money I spent for membership for the gym I never used. This is about asking UFC GYM Singapore to do the right thing and be the better person.
This is about asking my landlord Thai Kum Foon of Kuok Singapore and my property agent Michael Lim of Orangetee & Tie to return my security deposit. To reconsider things as greediness can cause us more. I believe.
I am asking the people involved to think it over. Because the truth of the matter is, doing the right thing is not easy, but this time, you are not doing it for me, but for the people you can help with. Because the truth is, the amount I am asking you to return is just little to what you already have. I am asking you to do one thing in your life, that one day, your kids and their kids, can be proud of.
You may not listen to this, but asking for the last time, is worth the try, for these people.

Today we celebrate 10k subs with a Vivienne Westwood sample sale video that I've been meaning to post 🌟
I may or may not have been waiting for this milestone in order to do so 👀
I previously asked if everyone was open to a giveaway and I'm so excited to hold one now! The names of the prizes are also below in case you want to buy them yourself hahaha
Fun fact: The night before was when I dislocated my knee, but as a big fan and collector of VW I couldn't miss this sale. Pretty sure standing in line is what made my knee worse.... The few weeks in an immobiliser was worth it for this 🤗
I've really enjoyed being on YouTube, so thank you for your support thus far! Tbh I wasn't expecting to keep at it for so long lol
It's been fun learning how to edit videos and images too. I'm aware there are many things I could improve on and things I could nitpick at, but I feel like I've come a long way from my first upload 9 months ago 🥸
Again, thank you so much for your continued support in watching, commenting, and liking my videos. It means the world to me ❤
