在這個立法會表決的前夕，新澳門學社衷心感激在場的每一位。你們對澳門尚存信心和希望，我們共同聲援的不只是蘇嘉豪，更是澳門社會的未來！
Tomorrow a big decision is going to be made in the Legislative Assembly. Tonight New Macau thank you all for coming, not only supporting Sulu Sou, but also showing faith in the future of Macau.
蘇嘉豪是新澳門學社推舉的民選立法會議員。85天之前，在同一個場地，學社號召大家一同集氣。當時選舉兵凶戰危，學社備受史無前例的攻擊和抹黑；當晚集會傾盆大雨，卻沒有淋熄支持者心中的熱火。我們知其不可為而為之，結果終於排除萬難，獲得超過9,000位澳門人的支持，成功將這位最年輕議員送入立法會，為我們的未來發聲。
New Macau endorsed Sulu Sou, still does. 85 days ago same venue here, our campaign event called for your support for Sulu Sou. The campaign was a tough fight with unprecedented attack and smearing. The event was soaking in the downpour. Yet none of those could make our supporters quit. We didn’t quit either. Against all odds we together made it possible for the youngest deputy ever to be the voice of people like you.
從當選到宣誓就職，過去差不多50天，蘇嘉豪肩負著學社「革新立法議會，推動永續發展」的使命。我們不遺餘力，為的是要用時間和工作來證明，學社所推舉的年輕人是值得信賴的。從開放立法會、風災問責、民選市政機構、青年住屋、向上流動、勞工權益、駕照互認，到長者保障、特殊教育、社工註冊、警員權益、文物保育、關閘規劃……數之不盡的發聲，務求拉近議會和社會的距離，重建澳門人對澳門的信心和希望。
Since he took his oath, Sulu worked tirelessly with New Macau for our promise to refresh the assembly, to promote sustainable development of Macau. Sulu and us work hard as we could, just to prove with our effort that our young legislator is worthy for your trust. We tried to pull the assembly closer and more transparent to the people, hoping people of Macau can regain faith regarding our future.
但當年輕人勇於反撲不公、理性問政之際，看看政府在做什麼？去年五月，學社發起「暨大一億」遊行，目標非常明確，正是要改革澳門基金會的資助制度，只有公開透明，才有辦法「守護公帑」。年輕人在遊行結束之後，走到特首官邸外面遞交信件——無需預告和申請，這是市民依法享有的基本權利和自由，卻被胡亂定性為「非法集會」。即使年輕人不同意警方命令，在「最後通知」之下仍願意和平散去，但最終卻被控告罪名。難道，政府要扼殺所有敢講真話的年輕人？
No good deed goes unpunished. Last May New Macau held a demonstration regarding the donation to Jinan University. The goal was clearly to reform the Macau Foundation to fix her lack of accountability and to safeguard our public resources. A few of the young ones turned in their petition to the Chief Executive’s residence AFTER the demonstration, which by itself a legit act to exercise their basic civil rights. Eventually they were prosecuted of disobedience, despite that following police order to leave in peace. This regime is prosecuting young people who stood up for the society. Is that how they try to silence them all?
這個秋後發生的事，不只是蘇嘉豪一人的事，而是這個年輕人代表的團隊和各位的事。這個集氣大會，不是要散播仇恨，更絕非要向任何機關施壓。這個集氣大會，正是要集結大家的希望，向作為民意代表機關的立法會，表達一個很清晰的訴求：「我們不同意中止蘇嘉豪的議員職務！」由市民選出的議員，豈能因為「莫須有」指控而被停職？我們要向「莫須有」說不，更要讓民選議員的重大責任：一刻也不能被無理干預！
This prosecution is hardly solely on Sou. It has everything to do with us the team behind Sulu and everyone of you. Tonight we don’t seek to spread hatred, nor do we pressuring any institution. Tonight we stand together for a simple and clear message, WE SAY NO TO SUSPENSION. Sulu owe it to us voters to work for Macau. By no means that shall be stopped for political retaliation. He has this great burden to serve the electorate, not for a second he should be stopped.
正如今日集會的其中一句，我們絕不容許蘇嘉豪辜負近一萬位澳門人的託付。無論明天的結果如何，我們都要毋忘初衷，為了公義繼續奮鬥。這裡是澳門，是我們的家。
Sulu may have close to ten thousand votes, but he also won the mandate that he can not disappoint. Come what may tomorrow we would stick together for the very same goal that put us on this course in the beginning, to fight for justice. This is Macau, a place WE call home.
