A good read about smartphones and the effect on kids and teens, and a good reminder for myself to be more hands-free too. As you probably know, I am pretty strict when it comes to screen time for the kids, and we don't own an iPad nor do they get to play with phones much. I'm still thinking about when to give the 9yo her first phone - likely when she hits secondary school - and all the rules about screen time we are going to set. Because from what I see in her peers and all around me, the addiction is real and can be harmful and scary.
