Aberdeen is the home to fishermen in Hong Kong. In earlier times, floating restaurants were run by the fishing community - Tanka people that served seafood dishes. These restaurants were also where Tanka people hold birthday and wedding banquets. And soon, they became a popular spot among tourists.
These very Hong Kong restaurants were also featured in many movies 🍿 - Bruce Lee’s movie - Enter the Dragon, James Bond film - The Man with the Golden Gun and more! Have you noticed that?
It is a pity that all three had closed down, leaving the piers being abandoned in Aberdeen.
