I have always been fascinated by trains, and all things to do with trains. So on Monday I took a walk along the Rail Corridor, from Rifle Range Road to Ghim Moh.

Trains no longer run along the Rail Corridor. But at some places the tracks are still there, and one can imagine instead of joggers and cyclists, the ghosts of the old trains still rattling past, bringing travellers from Singapore to Malaysia, or back.

We are redeveloping the Rail Corridor into a 24km ‘green corridor’ that will allow everyone to enjoy our rich biodiversity and heritage in our City in Nature. Looking forward to that! – LHL

The photos were chosen from more than 32,000 entries in the last two Photography of the Year competitions. They capture the natural beauty of our green spaces and landscapes, and the diversity of the flora and fauna, and people, that co-exist within our small island.

Master Paw Yi Fan (‎鲍一凡‬), whose real name is Paw Sandy (鲍珊吏), is a well-known international Feng Shui master in Malaysia. She was born in Muar, Johor, Malaysia, while her ancestral home is Yong Chun in Fujian, China. Master Paw’s birthday is on 7th day of the 9th lunar month, which coincides with the Yin year, Yin month, Yin day and Yin hour. In addition to the rare state of pure Yin in Master Paw’s Bazi, the feminine is also characterised as Yin energy, all of this contributed to a pure Yin body for Master Paw. This unique feature is a gift from the heaven, she is destined to be a Feng Shui master in her life. On top of that, Master Paw is the only Feng Shui master who has the ‘Pure Yin Bazi’ in Malaysian metaphysical field.
After exposed to Feng Shui knowledge, Master Paw holds the belief that people can control their own destiny, even the “Innate Destiny” can be improved through efforts. Ubud is such an incredible place. The weather is a little bit nicer. The fields are a little bit greener. And I have to admit, that waterfall early in the morning was really majestic and grand. I highly recommend viewing it in the morning when most tourists aren't there yet. The trail to walk around close to central Ubud was also worth the excursion to find. Lastly, staying outside of the city center we found ourselves in a bind at night. We didn't want to eat hotel food so we weren't left with many options.
