คุณ Todd Howard ผู้กำกับ Starfield แห่งบริษัท Bethesda Game Studios ได้ปรากฎตัวในงานอีเวนต์ Xbox TGS 2021 พร้อมเปิดเผยว่า เกม RPG ไซไฟเกมล่าสุดของเขาจะมีบทสนทนาในเกมมากถึง 150,000 ประโยค

ซึ่งบทสนทนาเหล่านี้ จะได้รับการแปลเป็นภาษาญี่ปุ่นพร้อมด้วยเสียงพากย์เต็มรูปแบบ (ซึ่ง Redfall เกมใหม่ของ Arkane Studios ก็จะได้รับการแปลเช่นกัน)

Shpeshal_Nick มือปล่อยข่าวลือชื่อดังบนโลกออนไลน์ และเป็นผู้ก่อตั้งชุมชน Xbox Era เผยในระหว่างรายการ Podcast ว่าเกม Indiana Jones ที่กำลังอยู่ในระหว่างการพัฒนาโดยทีมงาน Machine Games และ Bethesda จะเป็น Console Exclusive บนเครื่อง Xbox

อย่างไรก็ดี ข่าวลือนี้ยังไม่มีเบาะแสอื่น ๆ มายืนยันแน่ชัด แต่หากว่าตัวเกมจะลงให้กับฝั่งคอนโซลเฉพาะบน Xbox ขึ้นมาจริง ๆ ก็คงไม่น่าแปลกใจมากนัก เพราะปัจจุบันทาง Bethesda เองก็ถือเป็นหนึ่งในครอบครัวเดียวกันกับ Microsoft ไปแล้ว หลังจากที่ Microsoft เข้าซื้อกิจการของบริษัทแม่อย่าง Zenimax Media ไปเมื่อช่วงปีที่ผ่านมา

นอกจากนี้ ทาง Bethesda เองก็เคยออกมาสยบข่าวลือที่ว่าเกม Starfield จะลงให้กับ PlayStation ด้วยว่าไม่เป็นความจริงแต่อย่างใด โดยสำหรับทุก ๆ เกมในอนาคตของ Bethesda จะโฟกัสไปที่การวางจำหน่ายให้กับ Xbox และ PC แล้ว ยกเว้น Deathloop และ Ghostwire: Tokyo ที่มีการตกลงไว้ว่าจะลงให้กับ PlayStation ไปตั้งแต่ก่อนที่ Microsoft จะเข้ามาซื้อกิจการ

สำหรับตัวเกม Indiana Jones ยังคงอยู่ในช่วงเริ่มต้นของการพัฒนาเท่านั้น เพราะฉะนั้นเราจึงอาจจะยังไม่ได้เห็นวิดีโอตัวอย่างใหม่ออกาในเร็ว ๆ นี้ และต้องรอดูท่าทีกันต่อไปอีกยาว ๆ

Keith Beltramini ทีมงานฝ่าย Lighting Artist ของ Bethesda Game Studios เผยว่าวิดีโอตัวอย่างล่าสุดของ Starfield ที่ดูงดงามน่าตื่นตาตัวนี้ ถูกเรนเดอร์มาจาก Creation Engine 2 ทั้งสิ้น โดยไม่ใช้เครื่องมือเทคนิคพิเศษด้านภาพยนตร์มาช่วยแต่อย่างใด

กล่าวอีกนัยหนึ่งก็คือวิดีโอตัวอย่างดังกล่าว ถือว่าเป็น In-engine ที่ถูกถ่ายทำขึ้นมาแบบ Real-time ไม่ได้มีการใช้ CGI เพื่อเรนเดอร์รอไว้ก่อนเลย ดังนั้นก็มีโอกาสสูงที่ในเกมจริง ๆ จะสามารถขับภาพออกมาได้ตามนี้ และเป็นหน้าที่ของทีมงานที่จะต้องขัดเกลาตัวเกมกันต่อไป

Creation Engine 2 คือ Engine ตัวล่าสุดของ Bethesda ที่จะใช้กับ Starfield เป็นเกมแรก โดยมุ่งเป้าให้มันเป็นขุมพลังตัวใหม่สำหรับเกม Next-gen อย่างแท้จริง นอกเหนือจากนี้ก็จะต้องเป็นมิตรสำหรับเหล่านักพัฒนา Mod อีกด้วย จึงน่าสนใจไม่น้อยว่าอนาคตของเกมระดับ AAA จะทำกราฟิกพุ่งทะยานออกไปได้เพียงใด หลังจากก่อนหน้านี้ Unreal Engine 5 ก็สำแดงศักยภาพความสมจริงให้เป็นที่ประจักษ์กันไปแล้วเจ้าหนึ่ง
