Yesterday AIT’s Consular Section visited the Headquarters of New Taipei City Fire Department, where we were welcomed by Commissioner De-Ching Huang and his team. AIT staff were impressed by the advanced technological capabilities of the city’s 119 Dispatch Center, the largest in Taiwan. We also had an opportunity to meet with the Nan-Ya Special Search and Rescue team and learn how they respond to different crises and emergencies. The day was capped off with a wonderful interaction with representatives of the city’s well-trained rescue dogs! Thanks for a fascinating and informative day, New Taipei City Fire Department!
