『Vega Sicilia 酒莊』成立於1864年,在1982年被Alvarez家族收購後,更成立了『Vega Sicilia 酒廠家族』,目前整個酒廠家族包含了五個酒莊,除原本的Vega Sicilia外還有另外四間酒廠Alion、Pintia、Macan與匈牙利的Tokaj-Oremus。
這個家族以濃郁絲滑型的波爾多風格為主,今天我喝到最驚艷的就是Vega Sicilia酒廠的『Unico 2005』與『Valbuena 5°』除了典型的波爾多風格外,還能體會到內含的西班牙骨架,只是比較遺憾的是沒喝到使用傳統釀法的無年份酒『UnicoReserva Especial』,聽說這系列的酒款能夠陳放40~60年,會後我有偷偷問他們經理這酒的末售價格,聽完後我還是覺得這酒有值那個價,回家查了一下看到網路上一些其他年份的售價,我忽然覺得星坊定的很佛心。
當然他們的Tokaj-Oremus兩款酒也表現的滿不錯的,尤其是那款3P貴腐還滿合我的胃口的。

參加咗Altaya代理嘅Vega Sicilia 試酒會,好多人會比喻Vega Sicilia係西班牙嘅Lafite,我問Vega Sicilia嘅營運總監Pablo Alvarez有乜睇法,佢話好樂意有人咁比喻!試咗7款佢地出品嘅酒,包括Pintia2010, Alion2012, Macan 2011, Vega Sicilia Tinto Valbuena 5 2009 & Vega Sicilia Unico 2007, 同2支匈亞利酒 Tokaji Oremis Mandolas 2012 (用甜酒葡萄做的dry白酒)及Tokaji Oremus Aszu 3 Puttonyos 2009。我覺得Pintia好花香同充滿黑果味及礦物味,仲係好大隻,要耐心d等下,支09同07都十分優雅,充滿花、黑果、礦物、煙草等味, 但我都係覺得仲要等下。問Pablo會唔會好似Bordeaux咁做d即刻飲得又擺得嘅酒,佢話佢都係鍾意保持住西班牙嘅傳統,其實佢已經age咗6-8年先推出市場,d酒已經係溫柔咗好多!值得推介仲有嗰支匈牙利白酒,充滿蜜桃、雲尼拿、好creamy又有花,好抵飲又有talking point (用甜酒葡萄做的dry白酒)!
Attended Altaya's Vega Sicilia wine tasting, trying 7 wines including Pintia2010, Alion2012, Macan 2011, Vega Sicilia Tinto Valbuena 5 2009 & Vega Sicilia Unico 2007, and 2 Hungarian wines Tokaji Oremis Mandolas 2012 (dry white using sweet wine grapes)及Tokaji Oremus Aszu 3 Puttonyos 2009 sweet wine. Many people say that Vega Sicilia is the "Lafite" in Spain, I asked d managing director Pablo Alvarez on his comment about it, he said that he's happy to compare his wine with Lafite. Among d wines I tasted, Pintia is v floral, perfumed, w black fruit & mineral, it's still v masculine & need to be patient to wait for it to age. As for d 2007 & 2009, both r v elegant w floral, black fruit, mineral & tobacco, but I still think they need more time to wait. I asked Pablo if he'd made some wines that's more like d current Bordeaux style, which u can definitely drink now & has potential for aging, he said he wants to keep d traditional Spanish style. He has actually kept his wines in barrels for at least 6-8 yrs before release, so they r already v elegant. I also highly recommend d white Tokaji wine, it's v floral, peachy, vanilla & creamy, easy to drink & d price is so reasonable! It also has talking point to share w friends (drinking sweet wine grapes but it's a white wine)!
