Just a simple shoutout for the great work @theumonicsmethod has done with my nieces. I've seen a marked improvement in their spelling ability and grades, vocabulary expression, as well as creativity and imagination levels ever since they joined a semester of just twelve classes!
In ancient times, children were taught how to read, write, and memorise, but today, we are only taught how to read and write. Now, children can learn to use these techniques subconsciously just like how they would read and write.
The Umonics Method is the only memory improvement enrichment provider for preschools in Singapore, specialising in teaching techniques used by memory athletes during memory competition, and it has certainly benefitted my nieces, so I hope to share this with all the young parents out there!

Video - Batik Painting
I do spend a lot on art crafts .
The kids just love to draw and paint .
It helps to stimulate their right brain.
We try to increase the usage of both sided of the brain hemisphere on our kids .
The right brain which is rarely used by us controls attention , memory, reasoning and problem solving which are the utmost importance in our daily lives .
They are more analytical in their thinking and does well academically.
They tend to be able to memorise large amounts of data , have a large vocabulary and detail oriented .
Hence imagine if humans are able to use both hemisphere of the brain
simultaneously ...
Just sharing
Salam Everyone
Love As Always
PS - I was ambidextrous - able to write using both right and left hand
So is Noah ...
Tasha is left handed but rarely use her right hand . Need to encourage her on that.

How lucky are these 2 to have each other as classmates! Aaron and Jamie are classmates for swim, Heguru and preschool next time! I would have loved to have my cousins for classmates too.
After seeing how Arielle has blossomed from Heguru, we knew we had to do the same for Aaron.
Flashcards are important as they activate the right brain where it is recommended for it to be done at a fast speed. Our little ones will then connect both right and left brain when we display the card and read the word at the same time. As always, regular practice will aid in our child’s vocabulary and memory!

HOW TO REMEMBER TONES OF VOCABULARY
I often get students said: It's so hard to remember the tones of my vocabulary.
And it seems that tones are important, and Chinese natives might not understand or misunderstand you if you don't get your tones right, what should I do?
How should I work on my tones and remember the tones?
For example: party vs. queue in Mandarin / steamed bun vs. newspaper in Mandarin
So in this livestream, I'm going to share how I suggest my students to do in order to remember the tones of Chinese vocabulary.

How to Learn 5000 Chinese Characters(Hanzi/Kanji) Effectively
-------------
Adam is an English guy who's been living in Hong Kong for four and a half years. He studied Linguistics at Cambridge University, and already speaks fluent Chinese (Cantonese) quite fluently. Adam is not only able to speak flute Chinese (Cantonese), but also able to read and write.
In this episode he talks about how to learn Chinese character(Hanzi/Kanji) effectively including the technique and tools that he recommends to use.
Learning Chinese characters is a memory game. You want to:
1, Know the meanings and pronunciations of a few thousand Chinese characters(Hanzi/Kanji) .
2, Keep them in your memory.
3, Minimise the time it takes to do this.
Let’s see how a Cambridge Linguist recommend you to learn Chinese Characters/Kanji effectively.
