A few years ago, spending 4 months bouncing around between gyms would have frustrated me 😤 It’s almost impossible to progressively overload exercises when you’re constantly changing machines. Even if the “weight” is the same, there’s a myriad of different factors that will affect the load placed on the target muscles at different contractile lengths.

These days I’m just a different type of geek 🤓 I’m obsessed with admiring machines that are designed well, and the challenge of using ones that aren’t 🧩 I embrace the puzzle of optimising a piece of equipment and how the more experience I build doing so, the better rehearsed I am to help answer questions from coaches because I’ve done the thinking in advance 🤔

I’ve also learnt that you rarely come up with a great idea first time round. Provided you’re able to keep a mindset of what you currently think not being “the best” and there always being a slightly better solution, the more times you’ve been around the block, questioned your previous thoughts and adjusted the accordingly, the more refined your current thought processes will be 🧐

I train to force strong contractions, and I’m pretty sure that if I push myself hard enough I’m not going to get much weaker just because I’m not being a slave to my logbook 📋 Don’t get me wrong - I’m all for tracking and continued improvement in the pursuit of measured progress, and it has its time and place.

For me though, to sustain a passion for being in the gym for a lifetime, you have to follow what currently makes being in that environment as stimulating and fulfilling as possible 😃 In the past it’s been overcoming injuries, optimising for sports performance or just chasing numbers. Currently it’s growing my experience and challenging my critical thinking 🔣

Kinda cool how fun a place even the most alien and poorly equipped gym can become, once you’re equipped with the knowledge to take getting “creative” in the gym away from coming up with what is essentially resisted choreography 🕺🏻 and towards playing with The Exercise Continuum & The Exercise Equation (two RTS trademarks) ™️

【報導揭政府定翼機全程追蹤12人船隻 政府咪再扮唔知!】

12港人被送中一案,港府、香港警方多次對外聲稱不掌握事發經過,但根據傳媒最新曝光的證據顯示,香港政府極可能對12人的行蹤及計劃,事前已經知悉,對12人船隻當日的航向亦十分清楚。這與港府、香港警方連日來對外的說法不符,實無法排除港府在今次事件中與中國當局有合作之嫌。家屬質疑,香港政府在知悉 12人的航行路線後,配合中方的拘捕行動。
《蘋果日報》報道,保安局屬下飛行服務隊一架定翼機,曾於8月23日凌晨出動,飛行路線與警方公佈中聲稱12港人在西貢上船、在公海被中國海警截獲的時間、地點吻合。
該定翼機由當日凌晨4點半,一直在西貢、東龍洲及果洲群島上空盤旋,直到警方公佈聲稱,12人所乘船隻向東南駛出的時間,定翼機亦向東南飛行,全程與警方聲稱12人船隻的航行方向相符,在警方聲稱12人被截獲的位置盤旋後返回赤鱲角機場。
翻查資料,涉事定翼機「B-LVB」載有多模式監視雷達、以及電波追尋定位裝置等先進設備,定必載有涉事船隻的航行紀錄。
家屬再次要求香港政府及警方,立即公開事發當日關注12人船隻的雷達,及所有相關記錄,以釋公眾疑慮。

The Hong Kong Government and Hong Kong Police Force have repeatedly denied they have any knowledge in relation to the course of arrest of the 12 HongKongers.
However, according to the latest evidence revealed by the media, there is a very high chance that Hong Kong Government already knew the whereabouts and plans of the 12 Hongkongers well beforehand, and was very clear about the course of the vessel, which is plainly inconsistent with the allegations made by the Hong Kong Government and the Hong Kong Police Force. It cannot be ruled out that the Hong Kong Government has colluded with the Chinese authorities in this incident. Hence, the family members suspect the Hong Kong Government has cooperated with the Chinese authorities in the arrest after knowing the route of the 12 Hongkongers.
Apple Daily reports that a fixed-wing aircraft of the Security Bureau's Flying Service was launched in the early morning hours of August 23rd, and its flight path coincided with the time and place where the police announced the 12 Hongkongers boarded the vessel in Sai Kung and were intercepted by the Chinese Coast Guard on the high seas.
The fixed-wing aircraft circled over Sai Kung, Tung Lung Chau and Ninepin Island from 4:30 am until the time the police announced the 12 Hongkongers were on a vessel heading south-east. The aircraft then headed to the same direction as the 12 Hongkongers’ vessel and consistent with the alleged course of it since 7:00 am. The aircraft then returned to the Chek Lap Kok Airport after circling over the alleged location where the Chinese Coast Guard intercepted the 12 Hongkongers.
The B-LVB is equipped with advanced equipment including a multi-mode surveillance radar and a radio frequency tracking device, which must have contained records of the vessel's movements.
The family members once again urge the Hong Kong Government and the police to immediately release the radar and all relevant records of the vessel on the day of the incident in order to ease public concerns.
