Perhaps one of the greatest things about the internet is that it can provide a wealth of knowledge and information, at little or no cost. New gadgets, websites, apps, and programs are constantly being shared. In fact, it can be hard to keep up with so many tools.
What are some of the digital tools you've tried recently? Which ones did you love, and which ones didn't you love? How can these tools help us to stay educated and informed? #DigitalCitizenship #AmericanEnglish

SPEAKING PART 3 - INTERNATIONAL TOURISM
-------------------
⭐ Why is tourism important to a country?
In my opinion, tourism is the key to any country because it is lucrative. When a country attracts flocks of tourists, it can benefit from the extravagant spending of international tourists who are willing to splurge on entertainment activities and restaurants. You know, some people are willing to live on the breadline for months to set aside enough money for an overseas trip. Also, the development of global travel means that more employment opportunities are created. Local people can work as tour guides, open their own business or simply sell local cuisines to earn a living.
⭐ What are the benefits to individuals visiting another country as tourists?
As for tourists, firstly, they benefit from cultural knowledge gained during the trips. Every experience is more practical and realistic in comparison with things they read on books or on the internet. They can also have once-in-a-lifetime memories. For example, visiting Thailand was the first time I enjoyed sex shows which are deemed to be antisocial or even illegal in Vietnam. Secondly, tourists can boost their language skills if their visits are long enough.
⭐ How necessary is it for tourists to learn the language of the country they're visiting?
I think nowadays, learning the language of the country you are going to visit is no longer necessary. One day, when I was having dinner in an outlet in a supermarket, a Chinese tourist asked me about how to eat a Vietnamese cuisine. I was shocked because some online applications such as Google Translate could easily make our language barriers vanished. I mean if you are able to communicate with indigenous people in their language, so it's really fantastic. But if not, don't worry because technology has revolutionized everything, including this circumstance.

1. Do you like watching movies?
Definitely, I’m a movie freak. Watching movies is an excellent way to unwind. Moreover, my friends are really into films, so it’s exhilarating to spend time together. Afterwards, we discuss and debate the details of the film.
2. What genre do you like?
I love watching all genres. I try to absorb and enjoy as many different kinds of films as I can, whether it be the blockbuster Avengers: End Game or the comedy-drama musical film La La Land.
3. What is your favorite movie?
My movie of choice is Parasite, a 2019 South Korean black comedy film directed by Bong Joon-ho. It won a leading award for Best Picture at the Academy Awards, becoming the first Korean film to receive the award.
4. Do your friends like this movie?
Well, it was actually my close friend who recommended the movie to me, and we watched it together in the cinema right on the day it premiered. Parasite with plot twists really excited our curiosity.
5. How often do you go to a cinema to watch a movie?
Well, the Internet really comes in handy today when it comes to watching movies online, so I rarely spend time watching movies in cinemas. Besides, I don’t need to spend too much money on things like tickets or popcorn.
6. Do you like to watch movies alone or with your friends?
I believe I will gravitate towards watching movies with my friends despite the fact that the idea of watching movies alone is fascinating. I enjoy being in the company of friends. Then, we can discuss movie details later on!
7. Do you want to be a movie star?
Well, not really. I have no talent for acting. Besides, I value my privacy, but being an actor means you are constantly surrounded with paparazzi and public attention. I just can’t imagine leading that kind of life.

?? 3 hours to the north of Ha Long lies a city called Mong Cai - a border city that is separated from China only by a river less than 500m across. This border is super strange, and really highlights the differences between China and Vietnam. On one side - the Vietnam side - people have access to the internet, including things such as Youtube and Facebook and Google, while just across the river, the majority of people don't even know what Youtube is. And yet they can see each other going about their daily lives. Having lived in Vietnam for the last 2.5 years, as well as studied and lived in China for almost 2 years, I know what life is like from both sides of the border, and this place truly gave me a somewhat surreal feeling as I recalled and compared my life on either side. Hope you enjoy the video and go on this emotional roller coaster with me.

Many people may have seen lamas hold small spinning things in their hands.
They are not toy rattles.
Or some people may have seen temples surrounded by big cylinders that spin.
They are called “prayer wheels”.
A prayer wheel is not only an important Buddhist instrument, but also symbolizes an inheritance of Buddhist culture.
Bhutan is a buddhist country, so various prayer wheels can be found everywhere.
They rotate manually or by other sources of energy.
What is the meaning of spinning them?
Watch this video to find out!

2. Từ vựng và Cấu trúc:

- dump (v): thải
- environmentally-friendly (adj): thân thiện với môi trường
- environment protection (n): bảo vệ môi trường

- cut the use of St: cắt giảm sự sử dụng của cái gì
- suffer from less harm: chịu ít tổn thất
- raise people’s awareness: nâng cao ý thức của mọi người
Bài mẫu: Today I am going to tell you about a piece of great news that I have seen recently from the Internet, in which banana leaves are used to package things instead of plastic bags in a supermarket in Thailand. Honestly speaking, plastic bags have been the most popular way of packaging due to its convenience. However, it has detrimental effects on the environment because it may take ages for plastic bags to decompose. Actually many efforts have been put to cut the use of plastic bags. When I see the image of banana leaves that are used for packaging, I am so amazed and happy because plastic bags are not used anymore in one of the biggest shopping malls in the world. This means that there will be fewer nylons that are dumped and our environment may suffer from less harm. In addition, I think this also acts a good example for millions of entrepreneurs all over the world to follow this “green” method of packaging and fortunately, there are positive changes. Many supermarkets in other countries such as Vietnam, Singapore or Malaysia have followed this method, which is so environmentally-friendly. This is also a good way to raise people’s awarenessabout environment protection, thus makes them change their habit of using too many plastic bags when going shopping.
