新加坡阻斷措施 - 第九天
SIINGAPORE CIRCUIT BREAKER DAY #9

When we moved house last year, I specially allocated a room to be the husband’s work room.
A man is the head of the household.
To me, it is very crucial to use Feng Shui to strengthen the man’s authority at work, money-making abilities and his status at home. During my Feng Shui audits, I have done the same for some of my male clients.
We used to stay with his parents and at that time, he could only use the dining table to do work.
He is a man who likes quietness.
When he worked at home in the night, the noises from the TV, the incessantly barking poodle, the cries from his niece and nephew or their playing would often leave him in a bad mood and lower his productivity.
Hence in March last year, I made up my mind and flatly told him, “We will move out at end of the month.”
He was caught by surprise and asked why my sudden decision.
Instinct. It was time to walk out.
I do not leave a way back once I make a decision.
When I said I would move in April, I kept to my words, giving my in-laws a shock as well.
Choosing the house, getting Shifu to audit the Feng Shui, buying furniture, moving house, these were all done in a matter of four weeks.
To me, when a decision needs to be made, it has to be made swiftly. There’s no need to be wishy washy.
Just like doing Feng Shui audits and analysing Bazi, I must be fast, firm and accurate.
My in-laws’ home was not very well-planned. If we are still staying there, given the current work-from-home situation due to Covid-19, it would be a real headache to accommodate eight persons and one barking dog.
Honestly speaking, looking back at my decision one year ago, I am also impressed by my own decisiveness at that time.
The husband is obviously much happier after our house move.
He says he is happy because I am happy. Well, I am happy because he is happy. 😄
Now that we work from home, every morning after his bath, he would hole up in his home office room for a few hours before I would see him.
I can tell that he is very pleased and satisfied at having his own work space. During his childhood, he had never have a space that he could work at.
Yesterday, a Dharma sister told me that I was very quick and serious in producing my Youtube videos
One of the reasons is that my home doesn’t really have any recreational area. We have no TV or sofa, since we don’t watch TV. That saves us money and space.
I work in my living room which is spacious and the Feng Shui set-up done by my Shifu increases my productivity and boost my inspiration.
When humans have many entertainment choices, we are bound to get distracted.
I am very clear on what I want. I can do without all other unnecessary things so as to reach my goals faster and earlier.
Now the husband can do his work and video calls in his home office. I can do my own work and online Bazi/Feng Shui consultations at my own desk. We do not disturb each other, as we work and live happily in harmony.
A harmonious family breeds prosperity.
After living here for one year, my income has increased three folds and currently, there is no plunge due to the epidemic.
Last week, a client told me not to poke fun at my husband although it was cute.
I laughingly told the husband, “See, I have created such a great image of you on my Facebook that even my female client feels bad for you!”
I did several Feng Shui adjustments to his work room, both inside and outside. He was not aware of them. I did not tell him about it.
Good home Feng Shui should not be easily detectable to the untrained eye. Once people step inside the home, they will feel cosy and linger longer without knowing why, yet enjoying the energies that nourishes their bodies and minds.
We do not fight often and upon moving here, we quarrel even less.
If there is a cockroach flying in the air, he will be in charge of screaming while I am in charge of catching the pest.
If there is a lizard taking a stroll in our home, I take over the screaming while he takes charge of catching it.
I say we really do make a perfect match for each other, right? Right.

《🐶大人》(English version below)

Most people think that only humans have a past and a future, and levels of fortune rewards. That is not true. The same applies to animals too.
An example will be dogs.
Dogs are a kind of pets that are very close to us humans. They also have their own fortune rewards. For example, dogs born in Europe and USA. Many of them sleep with their owners in a big room, on a spacious bed, enjoying the air-conditioning. They can also go to many public places freely, and enjoy strong protection of the law. If you hurt the dog, you will be prosecuted by the law.
Such dogs have a more noble destiny and higher level of fortune.
Some specialised breeds of dog are employed by the government, to sniff out explosives, narcotics, missing criminals and even corpses. They help to solve police cases and are now part of Singapore anti-terrorism team.
These K-9 dogs hold jobs of decent employment, and official positions. Hence, the energy fields from the service dogs are slightly more honourable than the energy fields from the domesticated dogs.
Now, the aura of nobility and the aura of wealth are two different matters. Don't get it wrong! Some are rich, but not noble. Some are noble but not rich. The canines in these photos obviously exude nobility, because they are from the Singapore Police Force.
Hence, as humans, we must not be beneath a K-9 dog. We should not lose our nobility, our loyalty and righteousness, and have zero contribution towards our family and the society.
In this lifetime, these canines help the nation to fight against violent powers, help the weak, protect our homes and defend the country. The merits accumulated from their work can more or less eradicate their negative karma of being banished to the animal realm.
In their next lifetime, they are likely to have a better rebirth. Perhaps, they can regain their human form, and continue their spiritual cultivation.
Only when one has a human form, cultivation is then possible. So, never never lose your human body. We must all learn to be grateful and seek to repay the kindness we receive.
Cultivate well.
One recitation of a Buddha's name, or a mantra, all account as spiritual cultivation.
Repay the kindness to your country, your parents, your teachers, Mother Earth, and the Fourfold Kindness, and you will naturally not fall into the animal realm.
Wishing everyone an early start in your spiritual cultivation.

The shelter manager's letter:
"I am posting this (and it is long) because I think our society needs a huge wake-up call.
As a shelter manager, I am going to share a little insight with you all - a view from the inside, if you will.
Maybe if you saw the life drain from a few sad, lost, confused eyes, you would change your mind about breeding and selling to people you don't even know - that puppy you just sold will most likely end up in my shelter when it's not a cute little puppy anymore.
How would you feel if you knew that there's about a 90% chance that dog will never walk out of the shelter it is going to be dumped at - purebred or not! About 50% of all of the dogs that are "owner surrenders" or "strays" that come into my shelter are purebred dogs.
No shortage of excuses
The most common excuses I hear are:
We are moving and we can't take our dog (or cat).
Really? Where are you moving to that doesn't allow pets?
The dog got bigger than we thought it would.
How big did you think a German Shepherd would get?
We don't have time for her.
Really? I work a 10-12 hour day and still have time for my 6 dogs!
She's tearing up our yard.
How about bringing her inside, making her a part of your family?
They always tell me:
We just don't want to have to stress about finding a place for her. We know she'll get adopted - she's a good dog. Odds are your pet won't get adopted, and how stressful do you think being in a shelter is?
Well, let me tell you. Dead pet walking!
Your pet has 72 hours to find a new family from the moment you drop it off, sometimes a little longer if the shelter isn't full and your dog manages to stay completely healthy.
If it sniffles, it dies.
Your pet will be confined to a small run / kennel in a room with about 25 other barking or crying animals. It will have to relieve itself where it eats and sleeps. It will be depressed and it will cry constantly for the family that abandoned it.
If your pet is lucky, I will have enough volunteers that day to take him / her for a walk. If I don't, your pet won't get any attention besides having a bowl of food slid under the kennel door and the waste sprayed out of its pen with a high-powered hose.
If your dog is big, black or any of the "bully" breeds (pit bull, rottweiler, mastiff, etc) it was pretty much dead when you walked it through the front door. Those dogs just don't get adopted.
If your dog doesn't get adopted within its 72 hours and the shelter is full, it will be destroyed.
If the shelter isn't full and your dog is good enough, and of a desirable enough breed, it may get a stay of execution, though not for long. Most pets get very kennel protective after about a week and are destroyed for showing aggression. Even the sweetest dogs will turn in this environment.
If your pet makes it over all of those hurdles, chances are it will get kennel cough or an upper respiratory infection and will be destroyed because shelters just don't have the funds to pay for even a $100 treatment.
The grim reaper
Here's a little euthanasia 101 for those of you that have never witnessed a perfectly healthy, scared animal being "put-down".
First, your pet will be taken from its kennel on a leash. They always look like they think they are going for a walk - happy, wagging their tails. That is, until they get to "The Room".
Every one of them freaks out and puts on the breaks when we get to the door. It must smell like death, or they can feel the sad souls that are left in there. It's strange, but it happens with every one of them. Your dog or cat will be restrained, held down by 1 or 2 vet techs (depending on their size and how freaked out they are). A euthanasia tech or a vet will start the process. They find a vein in the front leg and inject a lethal dose of the "pink stuff". Hopefully your pet doesn't panic from being restrained and jerk it's leg. I've seen the needles tear out of a leg and been covered with the resulting blood, and been deafened by the yelps and screams.
They all don't just "go to sleep" - sometimes they spasm for a while, gasp for air and defecate on themselves.
When it all ends, your pet's corpse will be stacked like firewood in a large freezer in the back, with all of the other animals that were killed, waiting to be picked up like garbage.
What happens next? Cremated? Taken to the dump? Rendered into pet food? You'll never know, and it probably won't even cross your mind. It was just an animal, and you can always buy another one, right?
Liberty, freedom and justice for all
I hope that those of you that have read this are bawling your eyes out and can't get the pictures out of your head. I do everyday on the way home from work. I hate my job, I hate that it exists and I hate that it will always be there unless people make some changes and realize that the lives you are affecting go much farther than the pets you dump at a shelter.
Between 9 and 11 MILLION animals die every year in shelters and only you can stop it. I do my best to save every life I can but rescues are always full, and there are more animals coming in everyday than there are homes.
My point to all of this is DON'T BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER PETS DIE!
Hate me if you want to - the truth hurts and reality is what it is.
I just hope I maybe changed one person's mind about breeding their dog, taking their loving pet to a shelter, or buying a dog. I hope that someone will walk into my shelter and say "I saw this thing on Facebook and it made me want to adopt".
That would make it all worth it."

Hong Kong Dog Rescue HKDR rescues over 500 dogs every year, and is moving ahead with education and training. This is an overview of the charity's day to day work, shown at the annual Dogfather Fund Raising gala on 28-09-2013. The organisation, which has a strict no-kill policy, has saved over 7,000 dogs in the past ten years.

An estimated 15,000 to 20,000 dogs are destroyed every year in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong Dog Rescue has been fighting to save lives since 2003.

"You are OK?"
"Magnus is one of the litter we called the Whippetties, I call the Whippetties, one of the breeds I've invented. He and his eight siblings came into government kennels when they were five or six weeks old."

Sally Andersen, Founder and Chairperson, Hong Kong Dog Rescue (HKDR)
"The majority are from the government AFCD, Agricultural and Fisheries Conservation Animal Management Centers, and in fact initially, that's why we set up, or I set up Hong Kong Dog Rescue, was specifically to take those dogs, because they have four days and then they are then put to sleep. But now we are seeing more and more dogs being surrendered directly to us, and also breeders, dogs coming from breeders. (27 secs)

Every Sunday is Puppy Adoption Day at Whiskers N Paws.
(WNP adoption day)
Sally Andersen, Founder and Chairperson, Hong Kong Dog Rescue (HKDR)
"We ask adopters to fill in the questionnaire, and then we try to recommend to them the dog that would be suit their situation. People are very attracted to a look, a breed name, size and all the rest of it. Sometimes it's difficult to persuade adopters that the dog that they want to take home isn't the ideal dog and then often the dog comes back. But we just try to make sure that it's the right dog for the right home. (32 secs)

May Chow, Manager, HKDR Tai Po Homing Centre
"We do take in some older dogs, because some of them are as old as nine, 10 years old. As long as they feel loved, I guess, they will bond with you. It's easy, it's a matter of time, of course, but they will, they will bond with you."

"This is Pluto, he is a very sweet boy, he was taken from the government kennel, He's been with us for a couple of years. He is a little shy when you first meet him, but you will find his sweet natured as time goes, so please give him a little bit of time and take him home, he deserves a lovely home. " (kisses Pluto)
