Từ nhỏ tới lớn, mình chưa bao giờ coi tiền bạc vật chất là những thứ quan trọng nhất trong cuộc sống cả. Có thể cũng là từ ông bà cha mẹ, những người sống cả đời vì đam mê, cảm xúc cho những thứ họ làm và cái họ quan tâm nhất là “chất lượng” của từng ngày sống trên cõi đời này chứ không phải những con số tăng vọt trong tài khoản ngân hàng.
Thuở bé, mình cứ hay trố mắt tròn đen lay láy lắng nghe câu chuyện bà nội kể về cái đẹp của nước Đức, sự hoang dại của Cuba, nét truyền thống của Trung Quốc, hay từ ba những vùng miền hoang sơ đất Việt mà mình luôn thầm ước, lớn lên, mình muốn được đặt chân tới những mảnh đất ấy, chứng kiến những thế giới khác biệt hoàn toàn với cái thế giới mà mình đang sống trong.
Trái tim và con người mình, chẳng giây phút nào ngừng mơ ước được khám phá, vì mình muốn được “ngạc nhiên”, muốn sống khác mỗi ngày, muốn làm “giàu” cho tâm hồn của chính bản thân mình, điều mà vật chất không thể mua được.
Để sống thì cũng chẳng khó lắm, ngày giờ đó dậy, làm và gặp từng ấy con người, lo lắng hay hạnh phúc một chút, ăn chơi xem một vài bộ phim, cũng là một cuộc sống tốt.
Nhưng “sống” để cảm thấy mình đang làm một gì đó có ý nghĩa, đôi bàn chân kia sẽ bắt buộc phải “bước” xa hàng ngàn dặm để kéo tâm hồn mình ra xa khỏi cái “bể cá” bé nhỏ bơi lượn vòng mỗi ngày.
Cái khó nhất, là làm “giàu” cho con người bản thân mình, và đó mới là điều khiến bạn khác biệt với những người khác.
Mình, còn muốn đi, muốn khám phá nhiều, nhiều lắm...
To live, is not hard. Waking up the same time everyday, working and meeting with the same people, getting worried or happy a little bit, going to some restaurants and watching some movies, also it is a good life.
But to “live” and feel the meaning of it, those feet would have to “walk” a thousand miles to bring your soul out of this “cage” that it’s been floating around within every single day.
The hardest thing is to enrich your own self, and that’s what make you different from the others.

OMG! I never thought Roland would be able to replicate the taste of my favourite McDonald's Samurai Burger. Boy I was wrong! Roland's Samurai Burger is so good!! If you're not from Singapore or Thailand (which other country has Samurai burger? - lemme noe if you noe), you may not have heard about this burger before. This is a seasonal burger meaning McDonald's only serve this once a year. I love Samurai Burger because it's so juicy - drenched with the yummy sauce. Ooh Lala!! Next up, I shall get Roland to try and make McDonald's Prosperity Burger. Who here likes that too?

McDonald's Inspired Samurai Burger ingredients
Serves 4 pax

700g ground beef (20% fats 80% lean meat - you can use pork or chicken instead)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
Teriyaki sauce

250ml sake
1/2 thumb sized young ginger - grated
2 cloves garlic - grated
125ml low sodium light soy sauce
125ml mirin
2 tablespoons brown sugar
