Prayer is so powerful because it is asking and trusting God to work on your behalf and to accomplish what you cannot do. Even more powerful than that is praying in the Spirit because it is not just your own words, but a heavenly language that wields the power of the Holy Spirit. Not only does the Holy Spirit help you pray the most effective prayers (see Rom. 8:26), each word that you speak forth in the Spirit has the power to impart life (see Prov. 4:20–22), break bondages, and bring healing (see Luke 4:18).

If praying in tongues is something unfamiliar to you, know that it is an act of cooperation between you and the Lord where He leads you in praying mighty prayers! You can be assured that while the Holy Spirit gives you the words to say, you are in control all the time.

If you're wondering how to start sensing God's leading, Pastor Prince shares that one of the best ways is simply to start moving! That's right, when you take a step forward towards a decision, that's when you can sense the peace (or lack of it) in your heart, signaling whether you're headed in the right direction. Just as a GPS system can't offer directions until the car starts moving, the Holy Spirit prompts you when you start taking the next step or two.

If you're hesitating or fretting over some choices in your life, or even seeking to move in the gifts of the Spirit, can we encourage you to make a move first and allow the Lord to lead you along one step at a time? It's often a process and journey to eventually reach the end point but as you take each step with the Lord, you can be assured that He already knows where you're going to end up. Not only will He make sure you get there (see Phil. 1:6), you can be assured that it will be restful and for your good (see Rom 8:28). So, take heart and while you plan your path, let Him direct you step by step when to move ahead or stop, and even help you when you need to change your plans (see Pro. 16:9)!

Are you finding it tough to sense the leading of the Holy Spirit when making a decision? Or perhaps you've felt a prompting but aren't quite sure if that's Him or just your own mind talking.

We want to encourage you that being led by the Lord is not as mysterious or difficult as it seems! The Bible says that we hear our Shepherd's voice and we follow Him (see John 10:27). This means that just as a child naturally recognizes the voice of his or her parent, you will know when God is leading you somewhere. It's easy to overthink or over-analyze things and become even more confused than when you started. But as you trust the Holy Spirit to lead you restfully and with His peace, trust yourself also to know His prompting when you feel it. With time, the more you sense His voice and allow yourself to be led by it, the more familiar and natural it'll become to do life with the Holy Spirit!
