On the afternoon of February 19, hundreds of people lined up at the ABC bakery (227 Nguyen Trai, District 5, HCMC) just to buy dragon fruit sandwiches to enjoy.
Many people in Binh Chanh, Binh Tan, Tan Phu (Ho Chi Minh City) even in Long An also come to buy dragon fruit bread.
Protection of the bakery ABC said that after the dragon fruit information was shared by the boss in the newspaper, the amount of bread made was not enough to sell, customers who wanted to buy dragon bread would have to queue.
Due to the large number of customers, the bakery required to line up and each person can only buy 5 drives, each drive costs 6,000 VND. Also according to the bakery protection, from nowadays people everywhere line up from 6 am to evening to buy dragon fruit bread. This is one of the peak periods that the bakery welcomes such a large number of customers.
Mr. Kao Sieu Luc, CEO of ABC, who directly tested the dragon fruit bread, said that at this price, the company did not calculate profit and loss but mainly introduced new products. This is also the way he chose to "rescue" dragon fruits for farmers affected by the corona epidemic (nCoV).
