Every message and word touches me, I was so immersed in it. Sometimes I felt hopeless and I want to give up but now I remind myself there is hope and I have to live life to the fullest. Hey! Most people don’t have an honest conception of what depression is. They consider it as just being “really sad.” They believe that thinking positively or talking a walk outside is all it takes for a depressed person to feel better. Many still don’t understand that depressive disorder is a clinically diagnosable mental disease that needs proper treatment from licensed professionals. It’s not just something that you can simply “get over” or “push through.”
JK Rowling once said, “It’s so difficult to describe depression to someone who’s never been there, because it’s not sadness. I know sadness. Sadness is to cry and to feel. But it’s that cold absence of feeling — that really hollowed-out feeling.”
Once you’ve recognized signs and how they have affected your life, it is time to take the first step to feeling better by reaching out. It is common to feel uncomfortable when considering getting help, but remember, you’re not alone. Asking for help is never a sign of weakness, rather a sign that you’re willing to give things a try. Truth is, many are suffering from depression. The problem is that most of us don’t talk about it.

How many people do you imagine look happy, but struggle with depressive thoughts on the daily basis?
Not everyone experiences depression in the same way. They might seem to be like anyone else smiling and living a normal life but deep down inside they’re feeling hopeless and there’s nothing can make them happy. Some of them are going on medication and taking sleeping pills every night.
Depression is a real mental illness, it’s not a choice. they cannot simply decide to stop feeling depressed. It may all seem calm on the OUTSIDE, but there is probably more going on INSIDE.
