WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY
TODAY IS WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY! Let’s make #WorldMentalHealthDay trending. Attention on social media can lead to more awareness and give #mentalhealth a higher priority worldwide.
World Mental Health Day is extremely important because the more time passes, the more we realise how much mental health is key to general health. Please know that it’s ok not to be ok. Just know you are valued and loved. These days can be hard but one day you will find your strength. Talking to people you trust can help. Contact your friends and family.
According to a global survey conducted by Ipsos, the Covid-19 pandemic has taken a toll on people's mental health with 44% of Malaysians saying that their mental wellness has been affected since the pandemic. It is reported that issues faced by about 50 per cent of callers were related to stress, anxiety and despair. The factors were loss of jobs, no source of income, interpersonal relationships, isolation and reduced access to mental health help and services during the Movement Control Order (MCO).
Mental health is a key part of our general health. Take care of yours and help those who are in need of support
If you need emotional support and help, please call this helpline
