Why do we Act?
Because we tell stories of real people, we give them a chance to be heard, and a chance to reclaim narratives when and where necessary.
We allow the world to see where it stands, and inspire the desire for change in people who can.
This is why Theatre, Film and Drama are so important.
Just as important, I’ve come to realise that Actors have the responsibility of choosing the right roles; For the perception of society often depends on the portrayal of the actor, and the actor has the power to preserve and amplify the integrity of the character’s voice through performance.
This is why we tell stories— because the opportunity to empower is inherent in the process ❤️
