For me, these were the highlights of last night's pre-auction wine tasting at Sotheby's Wine Hong Kong - the 5 cuvées that make up the BOND stable:
1999 BOND Vecina
2001 St. Eden
2003 Pluribus
2006 Quella
2007 Melbury
With the exception of Melbury, each was the very first vintage of the cuvée.
I'm glad I have all of these wines and more tucked safely in my cellar... Would love to taste them together another day!
這枝酒，要講。極罕美國cult wine, Kalin Cellars- Sotheby's wine department國際最高統帥(Master of Wine) Serena Sutcliffe之深愛，難求。尤其舊的年份，差不多只餘從拍賣行追求一途，好好彩比我搵到又拍到。
"Wines of enduring value require time, commitment, and the discipline to create nothing less than first-class quality. Kalin white wines are capable of improving for over a decade - red wines for two decades. Wines of this "investment grade" quality and longevity require long periods of barrel and bottle development that most producers can not afford. Kalin white wines are generally released five to ten years following the vintage - red wines six to ten years after the harvest. Every wine that we offer is a "library wine!"The Artisanal Method has been abandoned by most producers due to economic necessity.
這瓶1985，拿來慶祝亞視玩完兼好友生日，抵開！Toasty oaky nose with light gingery note this bottling has shown in past vintages，mouthfilling red fruits with underlying backbone. Sutcliffe 說像瓶mature Margaux! 對極，仲有段數變化，銷魂奪魄！
