【玩轉人們愛的鈔票圖案】

2021年1月，美國華盛頓發生大規模示威活動，部分支持川普的群眾以暴力強行闖入國會大廈，面臨這種令人感到不可思議和憤怒的事件，或許有人會想要另外發起抗議遊行、投書報章媒體，而藝術家Stacey Lee Webber則是選擇用她的方式來表達對這件事的不以為意。

Stacey Lee Webber最新創作系列《Insurrection Bills》縱橫各色絲線於美金紙鈔，以鈔票上的圖案為底，暖色系的繡線在白宮、林肯紀念堂燒成一片鮮紅如血的懾人野火；或疏或密的絲線如各式不同款式的面具，遮蔽林肯頭像。無論是暖色或冷色，甚至黑色刺繡，都與色澤淺淡柔和的紙鈔形成鮮明對比。

藝術家說，此系列創作提到了緊繃政治氛圍裡的慍怒、動盪和沮喪無措之感，同時也因為以紙鈔為創作媒材，迫使人們重新審視思考向來受人喜愛的鈔票圖像。

除了刺繡，Stacey Lee Webber也是金屬藝術的創作者。她擁有威斯康辛大學的藝術碩士學位，也是從那時候開始以貨幣為她的創作基礎，讓不同材質產生特殊的對話感。她說：「刺繡使我可以離開我的金屬商店，轉而在一個安靜的環境裡工作，這兩者就像是陰對陽、鬆軟對堅硬、陽剛對陰柔。」她有許多涉及焊接硬幣的雕塑創作，也引領人們不斷探問藍領階級的價值。

透過藝術表達對政治的想法，或許是一條溫和但不失震撼的道路。
