ballaholic × Asphalt Chronicles コラボレーションプロダクトの、スタイルカット撮影のオファーをTANAからもらって早朝の駒沢へ。
もちろん事前に、このコートの主であるROCKERSの承諾を頂戴してから臨んだ。
この一枚には、実は色々と詰まってる。
日本で最もレジェンダリーなプレイグラウンドKOMAZAWA。
そこに居る自分。
そして、友人であり盟友であり心底尊敬できるTANAとKevinによる共作は、2人が世界中で撮りまくったプレイグラウンドの写真が満載ですげー仕上がり。
足元にはballaholicにとって初めてのシューズのasics、そして自分とTANAの共作でもあるTACHIKARA × ballaholicのバスケットボール。
KevinもTANAも自分も、何やってても結局根っこはバスケ、っていうのが良いんだよね。BOBBITOもそう。なんだかんだバスケ、日常どこ切り取ってもバスケ。うん、望んだ人生です。

I went to Komazawa in the early morning after receiving an offer from TANA @tana_wizard to shoot a style cut of the ballaholic @ballaholic_jpn x Asphalt Chronicles @asphaltchronicles collaboration products.
Of course, I had to get the approval of the ROCKERS, the owners of this coat, before I went.
There's actually a lot of stuff in this one.
The most legendary playground in Japan, Komazawa.
I'm there.
It's a collaboration between my friends and allies, TANA and Kevin, who I really respect, and it's full of photos of playgrounds that they've taken all over the world.
On the feet are asics, the first pair of shoes for ballaholic, and a TACHIKARA x ballaholic basketball, a collaboration between myself and TANA.
Kevin, TANA, and myself, no matter what we do, our roots are in basketball, which is good. BOBBITO @koolboblove is the same way. Everything is basketball, no matter how you slice it. It's the life I wanted.

日本語の「要するに」や「つまり」、「手短に言うと」や「早い話が」などは英語でどのように表現すればよいのでしょうか？

「長い話を短くする」と直訳できるこの表現は、要点や結論を伝える場合の「要するに」や「つまりは」、または手短に返答したい場合の「簡単にいえば」や「早い話が」などの意味としてよく使われます。通常は文頭で使われ、「Make」を省いて「Long story short」と略すことも一般的です。会話だけでなく、Eメールなど文章を書く際にも使えます。
＜例文＞
To make a long story short I need to borrow some money.
（要するに、お金を貸して欲しいんだ。）
Anyway, to make a long story short, I decided to turn down the job offer and stick with my current job.
（ということで、結局のところ、その仕事のオファーは断って今の仕事を続けることにしたよ。）
Long story short, he got cold feet and called off the wedding.
（つまり、彼は結婚式の直前におじけづいて結婚を取り止めたの。）

(Put it) In a nutshell
--------------------------------------------------
「In a nutshell」は「一言で言えば」を表し、「Make a long story short」と同じ意味です。話の内容をざっくりとまとめて言葉少なめに伝えるニュアンスがあり、特に長くてややこしい話をするのが面倒に思い、肝心な点だけを簡潔に伝えたい状況で使われる傾向があります。正式には「Put it in a nutshell」ですが、日常会話では「Put it」を省いて「In a nutshell」と言うのが一般的です。
＜例文＞
In a nutshell, my time abroad completely changed my life.
（一言で言えば、海外で過ごしたことで完全に私の人生は変わりました。）
You don't have to give me all the details. Just explain what happened to me in a nutshell.
（別に具体的なことはいいので、何が起きたのか簡潔に教えてください。）
In a nutshell, to become a better English speaker, you have to speak!
（一言で言うと、英語が話せるようになるには、話すしかないんです！）
