Do you know where American president Joe Biden (Joseph Robinette Biden Jr.) was born? Or maybe you know what state is considered the “birthplace” of American history? Yes, both answers are Pennsylvania. If you are interested in American history, then Pennsylvania (PA) might be the perfect study destination for you. PA is often called the birthplace of democracy because it’s where the U.S. Declaration of Independence was written. To make this study destination even sweeter, PA is also home to The Hershey Company, one of the largest chocolate manufacturers in the world! Philadelphia and Pittsburg are two well-known cities in Pennsylvania. More than 50,000 international students studied in PA during the 2019/2020 academic year.

30ml Melted butter

　200g Cream cheese
　100g Mascarpone(room temperature)
　80g Granulated sugar
　300ml heavy cream
(White mousse part)
　4g　Gelatin powder
　2tbsp Water (for gelatin)
(chocolate mousse part)
　70g Black chocolate
　4g　Gelatin powder

50ml heavy cream

1tbsp Water (for gelatin)

【材料】(15㎝ 底取れ型)
(ボトム)
　チョイスビスケット　8枚(70g)
　溶かしバター　　　　30g
(ムース全体)
　クリームチーズ 200g
　マスカルポーネ(室温)100g
　グラニュー糖　　　　80g
　生クリーム　　　　　300ml
(ホワイトムース部分)
　ゼラチンパウダー　　4g
　水(ゼラチン用)　　　大さじ2杯
(チョコムース部分)
　ブラックチョコ　　　70g
　ゼラチンパウダー　　4g
　水(ゼラチン用)　　　大さじ2杯
(デコレーション)
ブラックチョコ　　　50g
生クリーム　　　　　50ml
ゼラチンパウダー　　2g
水(ゼラチン用)　　　大さじ1杯
リベラチョコ　　　　適量
パールクラッカン　　適量

【作り方】
①ビスケットは袋のまま麺棒などで細かく砕いて、溶かしバター(電子レンジ600wで20-30秒温める)と混ぜて、型に敷いてコップで押し固めて冷蔵庫で約30分冷やします。

②ボールにクリームチーズを入れて電子レンジ600wで約30秒温めてホイッパーでクリーム状にして、マスカルポーネ(室温)とグラニュー糖を加えて良く混ぜます。

③ブラックチョコを小さく割って電子レンジで温めてとかして加えて良く混ぜます。

④7分立てにした生クリームを加えて混ぜて、そこからチョコムースの部分を290g取って③を加えて良く混ぜゼラチン液を加えて混ぜてケーキ型に流し入れて冷凍庫で15分冷やします。
※ゼラチン液は水にゼラチンパウダーを加えて約1分ふやかして電子レンジで温めて溶かして作ります。

⑤残りのムース生地にゼラチン液を加えて④の上から流し入れて冷凍室で15分間冷やします。

⑥小さく割ったブラックチョコに沸騰直前まで温めた生クリームを加えてよく溶かしてゼラチン液を加えて⑤の上に流し入れて冷蔵庫で一晩冷やします。

⑦ケーキを切る時はお湯でナイフ(包丁)を40℃くらいに温めて切ります。一度切ったら必ずペーパーなどでナイフ(包丁)を綺麗に拭いてから切ってください。

1) Do you like eating cakes?

Well I must say that cakes are the best comfort food in the whole world. Everytime I pass a bakery, I often stand there for a few good minutes so that the freshly baked chocolate cakes with sugar dusting would whiff through my senses, and makes me feel so happy.

2) Do you like dessert?

Well I must say that I’m a big fan of dessert because it helps put me in a good mood. You know the feeling when you’ve turned to a box of chocolate on a bad day just so you could feel that there’s still hope left in this world.

Nothing give me more pleasure than eating my favorite dessert.

3) Have you ever made cakes?

Yes, I have. I’ve learned how to make them from scratch. But I think the whole process of baking is a little bit complicated because it involves a lot of different ingredients and also equipment. It’s nice to bake once in a while
