Got some lanterns this afternoon, all excited to see the kids’ reactions. The last time we had lanterns at home was 2 years ago and Arielle was just 1+ so she wasn’t able to appreciate yet.

Today, was a little better than 2 years back. Arielle held onto her lantern around the garden before telling me “I want to go in already”. As for Aaron, he couldn’t stop trying to blow off the candle the moment he saw us lighting it up 🤣

Joreen is so into planting recently. She brought home a plotted plant & tasked by her teacher to care for the plant. Mama is really happy seeing her so responsible in caring her plant. 🥰 And yes she has been asking me to do quite a number of thing with her, gardening is one of them. She wished to have a garden at home. Mama would love to do more with her too. That's when mom's guilt creeping in >.< Sometimes feeling of not doing enough as a parent, not doing things right... the expectations could be from ourself, families, even from Instagram etc😅⁣
But hey, i believe im not alone, you're not alone. Lets enjoy our motherhood, take a deep breath & learn to manage this #momguilt better. ⁣

The second collaboration piece with @呉竹Kuretake , this time painted using their Kuretake Gansai Tambi 48 "顔彩耽美" colors set! This was an exciting challenge to try - I want to get better at painting trees and especially thick forest-like scenes like this one. This picture had only really light underdrawing and no lines.

- Waterford White 300g/m cold pressed paper.

This is also my entry to the #worldwatercolormonth2021 ! I will not be doing all the prompts, but let's say that this piece is for the "breathe" prompt.

We were recently able to go to a Japanese garden that's located really close to our house. It was temporarily closed due to the pandemic, but it opened when the stricter rules were lifted (now, if you want to go, you have to reserve a ticket - this prevents crowds.) On the day we went, it rained a lot in the morning - we had an excellent storm for the first time this summer - so the green of the plants was intensive! I took a lot of photos and tried my best to recreate this humid and green atmosphere.
