Makeup Tips to Look Less Tired!

Whether it's a groggy Monday morning or you're trying to stay up well beyond your bedtime, it's not easy to hide your exhaustion. Instead, let your makeup do all the work! By choosing cosmetics carefully and following these makeup tips, nobody will know you would rather be snuggling under your comforter.

1. Wear Primer
Smooth out an uneven complexion by applying a creamy primer. This reduces skin redness, blotches, and the dark circles under your tired eyes. Then, add a soft layer of face powder to seal the look. I like to use a matte finish powder, especially on hot days. This takes away that dewy, overworked look.

2. Enhance Your Eyes
You can always tell when someone is tired by looking at her eyes. Give a faux air of energy by making your eyes look wider. Use a bold, black mascara and liquid eyeliner on your top eyelid. Finish with a gently sweeping cat eye to elongate each eye. Then wear a light, bright eyeshadow. For an evening out, go with silver or lavender eyeshadow. For a daytime look, try a pastel green or light cocoa color.

3. Makeup Tips for Lips
Finish your look by giving your lips some attention. Since your eyes are already colorful, stick to a simple lip product. I like an ultra-shiny, clear lip gloss. Check out the bold flavor of Alba's Pineapple Quench Clear Lip Gloss. This organic formula is super hydrating, since it's made with beeswax and shea butter. Or, go for maintenance-free lip color by using a long-lasting lip tint. Choose a tone just a few shades brighter than your natural lip color for a subtle, feminine look.
