I wanted to eat EVERYTHING!
B4 we left for France, Chloe and I caught a serious strain of god knows what... she was so lifeless i tried ALL kinds of meds to get her well enough to fly long distance while shoving myself wth meds as well to stay strong to take care of her.
ALL fears for side-effects/ what am i putting in my body went out the window! #chloecc was barely ok when we took off on our more than 1 day, 3-plane journey.
Hindsight, i didnt know i ALREADY had most of the remedies in my kitchen to combat cold/flu etc ... and THESE #chloecc would likely not detest cuz they taste like food NOT fake orange/strawberries which honestly taste horrible even for adults much less a small kid weak kid...
There's a galaxy of info on the net, and too many old wives tales, we often times get overwhelmed not knowing who/which to trust/pick...
SO- to keep future panic eps at bay and make sure the fam is healthy from the get-go, i am arming myself wth certified naturopath @amanda.teh 30 powerful and safe home remedies for - cold/flu, migraines, constipation, PMS etc!

3-Ingredient Chocolate Bar. 😋 One of those late night, when you just want to get into the kitchen and make something because it's therapeutic, haha! 😆 This recipe has no dairy and no refined sugar. Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup Carob or Cacao Powder
(I used Carob powder. Have you heard of it? Search it up, it's amazing!)
- 1/2 cup Coconut Oil, melted
- 1 to 2 tbsp. Maple Syrup or Honey
- 1/4 cup Mixed Nuts, Seeds & Dried Fruits of your choice (optional)

Steps:
- Mix together the main 3 ingredients until well combined.
- Pour into a small tray lined with aluminium foil.
- Top with toppings of your choice.
- Place in the freezer for 5-10 mins until harder.

This chocolate is best kept in the freezer because the coconut oil will melt at room temperature. Enjoy your guilt-free chocolate bar! 😋 Try it out! Snap & Share your pictures with me!

Just like a lot of you, I really love to have something sweet at the end of a meal. Now, imagine if you can have your favourite desserts but without packing on high calories, fat or sugar content. That would be a wish come true. It is very possible with these few really simple food swaps to make desserts just that little bit more nutritious and guilt-free. =)

1) Heavy Cream for Greek Yoghurt
2) Cocoa for Carob

5) Oil for Unsweetened Applesauce
6) White Flour for Oat or Almond Flour
7) Egg for Chia or Flax Seeds
8) Dairy Milk for Soy, Coconut Almond or Rice Milk
9) Cream for Silken Tofu
10) Sugar with Maple Syrup
These are few really simple food swaps to make your desserts and meals much healthier. If this is your first time using a new ingredient, rather than changing the recipe completely, start by swapping a small portion. You might not get it at the right taste or consistency to begin with. But that’s the fun part, keep experimenting until you find the right balance.

Brewing Method:
1 teabag + 1 cup of water at 80° - 85°C/ 176° - 185°F
(you don't want to burn the leaves / flowers)
Steep for 3 to 5 minutes and enjoy
Things to remember:
- Each teabag can be steeped 1 – 2 times
- For best results, drink 1 – 2 cups every day
- You may sweeten with a little bit of raw honey, maple syrup or rock sugar
- Do NOT add milk!
Each recipe makes between 20 - 24 sachets
(about 2 tsps. of tea mixture per sachet)
p/s Tea bags can easily be bought from any supermarket / daiso / pound shop / online or you can even make your own with using cheesecloth or muslin.
